Colt Cobra. EDC of the 1960s.

My Dad was a police officer from 1962 to 1970. He carried a Ruger Speed Six .38/.357 among others.

RUGER makes some great guns.

If he didn’t work past 1970, he never carried a Speed Six on the job. It wasn’t in existence then.

My Dad passed last Nov, he gave me a 1959 Colt Cobra his Dad purchased, he was a Detroit cop. Grandpa must not have carried it often as it is like new with the original box and paperwork. I was advised to not shoot it as it seems to have rarely been fired at all.

@@30secondtactics Thank you. He left a few others as well, this one and the 1936 S/42 Luger are the highlights. It also in in excellent condition with 2 magazines and holster.

Comment about recoil😢 is it comfortable to shoot being aluminium and all........

Recoil isn't bad but it would be better with better grips.
