Since you'll ask, the chest holster I'm sporting is my Guide's Choice from Diamond D Leather. If I lived in certain areas where "Grizz" hangs out, I'd be wearing this chest holster daily. :-) I should probably make it part of my standard outfit when I go into Nashville.

"Chukes" reference, was SPOT ON!, exactly what I was thinking, right before he said it. Boy what a compliment, and shout out to "Chukes", from "Hickock". I love the way Hickok handles DA revolvers. He doesn't baby 'em, but he's careful - he knows where they're sensitive. Watch him load and close the cylinder. When he opens the cylinder, he doesn't snap it open, one handed. He's respectful. Beautiful!!

I had a 4 inch 45 colt anaconda. Traded it for a diamond ring for my intended at the time. Should have kept my 45. Live and learn. I bought an original 44 6 inch at unbelievablely low price. Traded it for a S & W M25 and more cash added than l paid for the Anaconda. Bought the 45 for 500 bucks in 1998 at a gunshot. Gave the same price for the 44 in 2019. My Smith 45 colt ain't going anywhere.

I love my revolvers, The model 57 41magnum is my favorite 6" is handy.
@edb38774 ай бұрын
I'd love to have a Model 57 but never got around to buying one. I need to prowl the local gun shops and pawn shops to see if I can find one. I do have a Ruger Blackhawk in .41 mag and it's one of my favorites. I really like how flat-shooting the .41 mag round is. It does have about 20% less power and recoil than the .44 mag and it's about the most power I can shoot accurately and comfortably. A 220 or 210 grain JSP from a .41 mag hits with real authority too, and no game animal on Earth would feel the difference between it and a .44 mag. I have a steel gong target that I set up at 100 meters and have no trouble hitting it 5 out of 6 times with the Blackhawk from a standing 2-handed grip. That 6th round missing the target is close but not on the steel. It's only a 10" target, so looks pretty small at 100 meters. With a red dot installed on it, it would be a viable 150 yard medium game harvester but I would not go much beyond that with my old eyes.

I just saw one today and picked it up. Pricey but it was so buttery smooth I couldn't leave it behind. Can't wait to hit the range with it and see how I like it. What are the odds hickok dropped a video on the thing today too.
@nathanjungers9683 ай бұрын
Update, hit the range and made it through 6 rounds. First round trigger hung up in the pulled or back position. Gave it a little shake and fired 4 more. 6th round the trigger wouldnt pull, shook it and it worked again. Said that's enough for me, went to open the cylinder and the latch was stuck. Shook it around and gave it a love tap on the side and got it open. Dropped the casings, and noticed the cylinder had about 1/16th inch of movement on the arm. Called colt, and their customer service was fantastic. Had an RMA the next day and sent it back for them to take a look. Hope to get it back soon, but they said lead time was about 35 days. Not upset, it's a low serial number gun so maybe they still have some kinks to figure out

I bought a Colt python, blued 4 1/4" barrel in .357. it's fine for black bears here in the northeast. beautiful gun, everyone loves to shoot it. I bought a chest holster from diamond D, but mine is black nylon, very nice,. does the job. I would like to see the Colt .44mag revolvers in blued finish, I'm more partial towards that. I'm also not crazy about ported barrels. I definitely favor Colt's in general (I'm a CT native-until recently), I'm lucky enough to own 3 of their guns. I know they will always work when I need them. I'd like to see Colt remake the 'Lightning Rifle" !!! Thx to both of you guys, I've learned a lot from you over the years, you are the 'Good Guys'!

The Cylinder latch. Everything jammed up we like to never got it open to unload it I sent it back to colt the very next day I hope that I didn't buy a lemon it sucks because I never got to fire it now I play the waiting GAME but now I have that lack of confidence in the gun that nobody wants to have so when I get it back iam going to put it to one hell of the test I got the ammo stacked and ready for the confidence building relationship I really enjoy your video thank for your all your hard work and commitment 👍🏻

That Colt Kodiak revolver can handle the Garrett Cartridges of Texas 330 grain Hammer Head +P load as well as the Buffalo Bore 340 +P+ flat nose gas check bullet in 44 magnum. All that revolver needs is the Wilson Combat target steel rear adjustable sight to replace that factory sight.

I just shot 100rds through mine earlier today and didn't have any issue with the rear sight. Once you get windage adjusted you tighten the lock screw. Are the Wilson sights that much better?

I’m almost wishing I had found out about the Kodiak a little earlier but it seems like the Anaconda, and the Kodiak are essentially the same. I’m going to have to get the Kodiak though, because I love Colt firearms and there’s no such thing as too many revolvers😂.
