It is certainly difficult to create a new genre ...but it might even be harder to resurrect a dead one. Here's a kid (age of my children) making me listen and love music I would have never listened to because of his incredible voice ... but more importantly ... how much soul he sings into it..
@robertpope9845 жыл бұрын
Hey man just wanted to tell you that this genre is far from dead,check out Benjamin Todd, Tyler Childers and John Morland, you want be disappointed..but yeah Colter Wall is awesome...
@jeffreykeels92455 жыл бұрын
@@robertpope984 I'm familiar with Tyler Childers and one of my favorite young country groups is "Turnpike Troubadours"... so young country is far from dead. But when Colter covers a song, he covers songs from the 1930's, 40's, 50's and 60's. Songs that NOBODY listens to... until he covers them. Old cowboy tunes. When he writes, he write old country... like Cash and Nelson. So he is truly taking a young generation back to a genre and time long forgotten. Who does that? Being on the cutting edge is one thing, but taking people back to a time (30's, 40's)... that no one even knows about... that's even more interesting. And he does it with soul.
