Tyler wasn't the same after he did that run on the west coast, I think he smoked some of that weird shit out there and it fucked his brains harder than the usual shit he does. We've all got opinions, I wouldn't trade Colter for the pair of them any day of the week. I'll never go to another one of either of their shows.

I've gotta know what Colter did to completely turn his beard growth around. He's got some of the most epic facial hair these days, and that's exactly opposite of what it looked like when he first got noticed in them brewery sessions! Thank you for this fantastic interview. You seemed genuinely interested in what Wall had to say, and you never cut him off, allowing him to fully explain his thoughts and opinions. Got to know him really well through this! Its crazy hearing him talk compared to when he sings its like he really digs deep down into his chest and uses the deepness in his voice as a man with a really deep voice i used to think that i couldn't sing and colter wall really inspired me to start taking singing lessons and learning how to control the bass in my voice.

Grew up listening to Johnny cash, willie Nelson, Kris kristofferson etc back in the 70s & 80s - when I first heard Colter it took me right back there. You don't hear such deep, rich vocals anymore, especially in country type genres. Mainstream anyway. I was telling my friend that I was just over all the high pitched voices in country and I couldn't get into it other than old country, outlaw country. She said, you'd love Colter Wall then. Because vocals are big for me as a listener, and good guitar pickin' is the bonus. It's about time we have some young blood in the genre that's a classic sound but fresh af at the same time.
