Music unites us all. I’m a 14 year old cowboy/ranchhand, and I’ve rode and roped in Illinois for 3 years, Wyoming for 2, and now I’m on down to Arkansas with my family until I turn 18. Then, I’ll be back in Wyoming on the desolate plains driving cattle the way it should be. I won’t make a lot of money, barely enough for a living, but I wouldn’t rather have it any other way. I was recommended to listen to Colter by a couple friends who said I sound not unlike him, as I have a quite deep, howling voice, deeper than the average man’s already.

Anyone who doesnt have him in their top 5 country artists, i just cant respect. This has to be one of my favorite songs hes made too, and i always like the live recorded versions better than the studio edits…cant make something perfect any better than it is.

You speak from your heart, you play from your soul. You understand the isolation of ones self. Those who choose to appreciate the song do not understand. I hear your soul in voice and guitar, I appreciate you as an artist of music. I pray for you and hope your believe and trust in god as I do. God bless your path. -One of Gihon

I guess nobody else is gonna say it. This man is so talented that his music videos are simply of him sitting or standing while performing. He lets his music do the speaking, as all artists should.

When my wife and I first heard this version of the song we both thought Colter Wall must be some old cowboy singer in his eighties. What a surprise to see this guy who could well still be in his twenties! Great version of this old chestnut!

This is country music at it's absolute finest, purest, truest...this young man blows me the hell away, his voice is everything you ever wanted in a country boy, like graveled velvet. He got something that the others just don't have. Hands down my favorite country voice, of any era, ever.
