Have said this in previous vids about Columbus, but one of the things about the city is that a lot of the bad areas don't *look* like you'd expect slums to: they still have single-family homes in them without a ton of broken or boarded-up windows, no huge piles of trash or large swaths of abandoned buildings, etc. But the drugs, violence, shootings, and poverty are definitely there.

This is very true. I lived in this exact hood (he went by my old place) and it definitely didn't feel as safe as this video makes it look. Seeing prostitutes and drug deals all the time right out front of my duplex door was something else.

Back then before the big Fed bust on Westside things were not like it's became in last 9-10 yrs (since 2015) & it has so many vacant homes vs occupied & the fenny is rampant bringing death to all it touches. Just because people of color, & assorted other races are in an area, doesn't instantly make it a hood. I LIVE in Columbus, graduated from HS on the West, and for you to drive a few streets and call it the hood is insane. This isn't the hood. The area has it's issues, but unlike other cities, Columbus makes shit happen. Drug houses are shut down DAILY, and I do mean everyday. Zach Kline is doing wonders on shutting down problem properties, and making the others clean up. All the streets are being repaved, and the entire W. Broad St is being gentrified. There's shootings, but this is a farcry from some of the shit bag areas i've seen you drive through. As a Columbus native, i'd have to say this video is extremely inaccurate. You didn't drive on Livingston & Lockbourne....you didn't touch Cleveland Ave & 22nd...you didn't hit the Linden area...you didn't ride through Milo...The Terrace...Easthaven...lets know the hoods of columbus, before you drive it. And even then, all those sides of town aren't all that horrible besides the random teenage BS. You drove around Wedgewood, and called it the hood. They're literally just apartments, and families of Somali people majority live there, plus, CPD is ALWAYS in the complex, or at the front patrolling it. You drove around 15% of the Westside and called it the hood. Find a new job 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I graduated from Franklin Heights, 3 minutes away from where you're driving, and there's a brand new $50,000,000 High School there now. Its literally Demorest Rd 🤣🤣🤣
