Starting a new BA army myself, I had one back in the early 2010's but it was lost in a house fire and I always wanted to bring back the red, black and gold! I've got my hands on an unopened Leviathan, the BA army box, a Vanguard Spearhead, and I'll pick up the combat patrol. Feeling like this is more than well on my way to a solid force!

The Red Thirst enhancement is interesting, specifically because it's slightly different from the Khorne Berserkers ability. For World Eaters, it's D6 movement every time a model is lost, but for this Blood Angels rule, it's a flat 6" any time the receiving unit is hit. It doesn't say that the unit has to take damage, only that the initial hit roll goes through. This makes it fundamentally better than the World Eaters ability, because now the Blood Angels can move up the board, for free, while shrugging off any potential damage.

A BA patrol box , unlike the DA one, that feels BA . Still l get this feeling of patrol boxes were to replace the smaller start collecting at a price i increase. This new patrol boxes feel like start collecting boxes , but at a patrol box pricd.

You nailed it about the composition of the box, John! Nonetheless, I strongly agree with you, at this point everyone has plenty Assault Intercessors (particularly after Imperium magazine) so 10 more seems way too many more in my opinion, an Impulsor, The Sanguinor or even Jump Pack Intercessors would have been a much better option though.

I'm doing 2 full squads, one with swords, helmets, and no wings. My second full squad will look more like sanguinius, as they will have heads with long hair, the spears, and wings.

It occurs to me that, aside from the Death Company Intercessors box I bought when they dropped to 75 points... I don't actually own any Assault Intercessors. This is probably a perfect release for me. I don't own Lemartes, I don't own Astorath, I don't own a Sanguinary Priest, and I don't own a Brutalis Dreadnought. The Jumpercessors ARE a bit superfluous for me, but hey, maybe I can make more Death Company out of them instead, we'll see how the rules shake out.

You are polite, respectful, and most importantly, don't suffer from allodoxaphobia (irrational fear of opinions that are different from ones own) like so many in the hobby community do. I think the general consensus is to try and find older heads from eBay or old kits. Reception, the new head has not been great.

Die Regeln lesen sich gut, mir gefällt auch, dass die Armeebox und die Kampfpatroulie fast alles hat, was ich mir wünsche. Die Stratagems lesen sich toll, mit dem Captain kannst sie sogar kostenlos nutzen. Die Rote Durst Bewegung ist interessant, ähnelt aber zu sehr dem, was Angron's Jungs können. Ich bin auf die Detachmends gespannt und ob wir generell 2+ auf Stärke +1 Attake behallten.. So wie ich es sehe, kann man sowieso nur 1 Speer mitnehmen bei 3 Mann ...bei 6 dann 2. Aber ich finde die Modelle sehen einfach lächerlich aus, besonders der mit erhobenem Schwert. Der sieht aus, als würde er stolpern und sich gleich auf die Nase legen... wobei 6 Gardisten mt nem Captain mit Sprungmodul die stärke der Lanzen und Speere auf 9 erhöt... im Angriff. Da die Blood Angels ja noch die Red Rampage als Stratagem haben, scheinen Speere überflüssig zu sein... Falls Red Rampage (GIBT ja Lethal hits und Lance) so bleibt. Derzeit gibt Dante der Garde +1 to charge und +1 to hit 6 Gardisten mit 6 Schwertern würden dann mit 30 Attacken auf der 2, Stärke 8, gezündetem Stratagem Infanterie jeder Art auf 2 / 2 / -3 / 2 weg schneiden.. Nach den Akuellen Regeln würde dieser Trupp Potentiel 60 Schaden machen, wenn alle Attacken verwunden und treffen. Aber ich glaube, die Kombos sind zu heftig und werden so nicht kommen. Oder nach den ersten Turnieren genervt. Bei der Todeskompanie hab ich dass Gefühl, dass es n Downgrade gibt. 1 Energiewaffe und 1 Spezialpistole pro 5 Mann. Ansonsten seh ich da nur Kettenschwerter. Da kommt es auf die Punkte an und auf Die Regeln, die sie bekommen. Das kostenlose Abwehrfeuer der Todeskompanie Intercessors ist n Witz und total verschwendet. Wären die Modelle nicht so ... schlecht ... desingt wäre ich hellauf begeistert. So fühlw ich mich einfach nur von GW verarscht. Das Schlimme ist .. ich werd's trotzdem kaufen.

If the rumors about them being able to be led by any character now are true the way to run them might be 6 man squads with a chappy. Give yourself the best of both worlds with the added AP and always +1 to wound not just on the charge.

reallyyyyy wish both weapons had 1 more attack and the spear was flat 3 damage. Maybe even hit on 2+. Just comparing them to deathwing knights (since they are apparently comparable in PPM), their melee is so underwhelming. I also feel like GW was very stingy on giving BA units weapon keywords because of red rampage

It's just weird to me that sang guard have been pretty significantly nerfed by all these changes when they were already not great. I guess I should wait until we see the rules and points though

Just wanted to bring up a small little point here. When you're talking about things with t5 infantry such as terminators aren't you still going to be better off still taking the spears? The -2 AP is going to push their base save from a 2 to 4, and the extra -AP on the swords isn't going to matter because Terminator all have a 4 + invulnerable save anyway?

If it's the same number of wounds, then the swords will win when you encounter units that don't have invulns.

If we assume Sanguinary Guard come out to 36.6ppm (110/220pts for 3/6). What do you think would be a good amount to run? 3x3, 3x1 & 6x1, 6x2? Absolutely it is hard to tell given the lack of information about Detachment abilities and new enhancements etc... but if Sons of Sanguinias (LAG) is a direct port into the Codex and it is the current best detachment to take... I'm thinking a 3x1, and a 6x1+ Captain (I'm not the biggest fan of Dante, sure he hits more and harder... But a -1 CP usage and an enhancement bonus....

You know I didn't think I was a big fan of Dante till I ran him in 10 games, he's surprisingly kill-y with his AP3 and Lethals. I think 6 + Dante will be where I start. If they really are only 220, I might try 2 x 6's one with Dante, 1 with a Captain.

The Captain is over priced and I'll just wait for the Sang Guard to come out on their own. Which I'm still on the fence about the look on minis.
