@losen94 a good question and really the only time this can happen is a situation my rogue is in at the moment. The only 1.4 dagger that I've been able to aquire since cata is the justice points 346 one. However I have the madness 390 dagger so the difference in stats alone means I should use it. Having said that, I would trade it in an instant for a 5 man heroic dagger as besides that enormous leap 1.4 should always be better

@EvoVulzian few things to consider here. 1) our fok by itself is terrible so threat xfer is very weak from us. Has the tank recently been tanking something so he has vengeance up? if so he shouldn't need our weak threat, if he hasnt then every little bit does help. It''s a judgement call and something you can think about a few seconds before the adds are due to arrive.

When you would paint the wall green you have to keep in mind to use a paint color that is very very matte. The problem with crappy greenscreens or painted walls is that they reflect alot of light, not only messing up your lighting setup, but also making the background less of a solid one color, making it harder to edit your recorded content (with say, KeyLight, if you use Premiere).

Second on Shadowcraft as an online reforge for rogues. I was spoiled with all the good tools to help rogues.

@EvoVulzian IF you are fighting the same Mob / boss as the tank is tanking! you can also use the macro: #showtooltip Tricks of the Trade /cast [@targettarget] Tricks of the Trade it actually uses Tricks of The Trade on the Mobs target which usually is the tank, ( not an optimal macro but it does the "trick" :)

@philippetnathan12 If we have a lot of mobs to kill then we do use FoK, it's just not as effective as say a mutilate spec. Of course keep blade flurry and slice and dice up while you are spamming fan.

I suppose there are two ways of blowing your CD's... 1) Blow your cooldowns as soon as you can so get them refreshed at a faster rate or 2) Use them at the most appropriate times e.g AR when our 'Insight' is on Moderate, giving us the most dmg to targets by having AR from Moderate Insight Through and to the end of Deep Insight.. KS is also more damage dealing on a Deep Insight, so use it on the next one.

Its an interesting take - Though I would suggest holding off on Adrenaline Rush, pots, trinks until right before you gain moderate combat insight. The additional damage over time - 20% and then 30% - is amazing. Furthermore following this action you should have a little bit of deep insight (30%) damage for a killing spree (KS). Also, leave your blade flurry up during KS if there are multiple targets. The KS is improved if you glyph into it. You can manage SnD without the glyph once you get it

Blade Flurry works from your character, so if you got two mobs standing right next to eachother it doesn't mean it will hit both if you are standing on one of the sides. I usually place myself in the middle of the mobs and it hits 2 targets with a pretty decent range.

Pretty much, yeah. Some fights I like to put it up when I can't be at the boss. Like when Morchok uses Black Blood, I try to pop it on before I run away for a bit more of dps.

@Parker8822 I often get this question in-game. What I do: when i have 5 combo slice and dice up, I start the first combo point with revealing strike, then I continue with sinister strike for the next 4 combo points, that solves my problem.

Get ElvUI, it gives you the exact same thing as Rogue Power Bars (Shows the time that your buffs and Debuffs are on you and your target). Nug Combo Bar is kinda cool it shows your combo points and you can change the colors and position and stuff.

finally some1 who agrees with me that its better to reforge to spellhit cap and mastery instead of haste. who wants more energyregen when you already got more than you can use? with adrenalin rush + killingspree where you regen to full energy + hero/bl/tw + in my case the hasteproc trinket + legendary proc where you regen more than you use + tricks reduced energycost, i rarely feel energystarved, i cap more often

I have noticed through experience that gear really, drastically affects your damage as a rogue, I started out combat all the way to 85, then kept getting the lowest on DPS charts and I had to switch to assassination until I got 386 ilvl and wrecked everything as a combat rogue.

i stopped raiding since 1 month, but our ussual team ( i was RL ) 3/8 hc now, was combat rogue, resto sham, holy pally, disc priest, dk tank, pally tank, arms warr, balance druid, fire/arcane mage, surv hunter, and often swapped 1 out for elemental shaman, destro lock, dk dps, and druid tank instead of dk, etc etc. so but first 10 are ussually the 100% attendance ones

after i killing spree - I am usually around 90-100energy, and i use up this energy before i pop adrenaline rush. I understand you want to keep your cool downs down to get them back, but i feel if you pop'd adren at the time you suggest, it would energy cap you for sure. I drop two sinister strikes and them adren just to use some of that energy.

.. Using 'ToTT' along to fill in the gaps where you have neither KS or AR since youll more than enough energy from AR. Don't use ToTT just for the extra dmg or just for the reduced energy cost. You would waste the energy reduction using it with KS and Waste both energy reduction and dmg increase during AR.

If you get a proc at 3 combo points, and you get 5, you don't revealing strike. Wasting a combo point is a bigger dps loss than doing an unrevealed eviscerate, so that's why :)

Great vid always watch your guide videos. I am leveling now a combat he is at 47. This will be my sixth 85 character. My question is when I hit 85 should I have two daggers or a sword/axe in MH and dagger in OH. What attack speeds should daggers be? Ty.

@holographicdude99 actually, rogues tend to go for 17% spell hit cap so they dont miss poisens :) i lose 5k dps if im not spell hit capped, and if you wield daggers because you cant get the MH axe from dw ( no-khaled axe normal ) you want 1.80 MH and 1.40 OH, put deadly poisen on offhand because the dagger is quicker which results in quicker poisen apply and use instant on MH ( slower wep = more dps +poisen = more dmg is pew pew!, my char: Backstabbye undead rogue on Quel'Thalas /w me ingame

@Ihave46chromosomes check excéptional on Quel'thalas ( my priesT) or Diamondshear on Quel'thalas, both on EU, Use Prayer of healing in / before heavy aoe dmg for the shields :) just use penance on coooldown, prayer of mending on cooldown, i go for intellect / haste only, 3.4k combat regen, never go out of mana :) use your shield on the tanks all time and your fine :P this is a very simple explanation /w ingame /youtube for more indepth ::)

@mikepreachwow actually, since theyre mobs that die quick, most of the times, for example trash on our way to morchok normal/hc,10/25, i use ToTT on tank ofc flurry and Killing spree their Ass down the pavement :) that+ drakes on ultrax and trash on hagara are probably the only places where you can do that tough, rest you want a proper Rotational Killingspree / flurry combo, and tbh i never even Poisen my FOK since it's to bad to use FOK anywhere in Dragonsoul or somewhere else unless boosting

I find that I do a little bit more damage when i Revealing Strike around 2 Combo Points... Keeping it up every 5 point finisher seems slightly more effective.

One thing you didnt explain is Expose Armor... does it have any use at all? I've just recently gotten into Combat and have been using it as it seems to be useful and i would think it's a big increase in everyones DPS. It would help me out alot if someone we're to reply.

I worry a bit about who the dps is then. Yes, they are a high dps tanking class. However... Your dps should be breaking well past the tanks dps.

I notice the problem with ping, I can energy cap so easily and I get screwed over in dps in raids. Don't get me wrong, I do fine.. but this energy capping crap with my latency is so annoying, capping my dps is basically impossible unlike it is for my friends who play casters/warriors etc. Shadowcraft is probably the best online reforge tool. It's absolutely amazing.

Wrong. Ambush for 60 energy is a waste unless you've got blade flurry up and have mobs grouped. He's kinda right w/ just starting with SS.
