I have read that too can't say for sure since im not a math nerd but atleast that is what elite jerks recommend. I also read that u can dark sim shattered ice on hagara and it should hit for some obcene amounts of dmg.

@eeboya At the moment it's generally considered the more consistently high DPS spec, but it is difficult to play and get used to in comparison to the other specs.

indeed however wowreforge and askmrrobot both rated the lfr gear above t12 hc due to the more powerful bonuses, the 6% increased damage to SS was ok but more dc procs and 10% more shadow damage every now and again can only be a good thing ^^

mastery does indeed become better than crit once you have gurthalak and especially if you have the t13 4p too

Looking back at this it was so wrong. With gurthalak, being the ideal setup and the only way Unholy was actually viable and even then being worse on madness, you still prioritized expertise for the weapon swing changes to proc tentacles and then mastery was second to haste below 24% then crit.

Completely disregarding expertise was *Insert Puking Emoji Here* because of how much of a damage loss it truly was, and honestly if skipping expertise was the understood meta at the time then people are more dumb that I had previously believed

@@novinceinhosic3531 you never used rune strike as unholy because it was a blood ability. Death Coil was the RP spender, and even without gurthalak expertise simmed massively ahead of every stat except for hit when under the 26 expertise cap (23 as Orc, best race). Without gurthalak the only difference was you prioritized crit over mastery and still capped at 2400 haste

@@novinceinhosic3531 death coil had hit cap at 8% which was really easy to get and by 4.3 you would always reforge out of hit to haste mastery or crit, and you would cap rune regeneration at 2420~ haste. Mastery didn't scale pet damage except for the tentacles from gurth so without it mastery wasn't efficient because of the 4.0.3 unholy dk nerfs. Expertise had a higher % miss chance if you weren't capped, and you wanted to maintain your diseases through festering strike extending them for 6 seconds at the cost of two runes, but you only ever wanted to keep it active for a minute through as to not waste outbreak 1m CD

Isnt mastery better if u have normal gurth? increases ure overall shadow dmg and thats what gurth is my gurth currently hits like a fking truck even in pvp it literly brings a guy down to 30% by itself

You can also go frost , then go back unholy so you dont have to blood tap anymore.

Can anybody let me know, I've just set my second talent to unholy and upon trying this method of playing Unholy, my dps went up to roughly 15k on a test dummy, in about 60% pvp gear and some Vicious Pyrium, is that good/bad?

Hmm, awsome vids m8. Did just stumble ower them, and what can i say. If every man/girl did play the game, with the same prefferances as u'r selfe, i would have alot more hair on my head. I would just like to addres something wich u didnt, and thats rolling diesies as uh. They work the same way as the garg with the "snap shot" if u can get rly big ones of in the begining, and just roll them with festering, u should see quit margin dps gain aswell. Feel free to message if u'd like to know more.
