2nd year bow hunter. Just started rattling and I have been insanely successful with it. Seems like it there is a deer in ear shot of it, and they haven't gotten their ass kicked recently, they come to check it out at least. Definitely been out there and had nothing come in more often than not, but been very impressed with how 0 experience rattling and it works well.

This man is on point. Since I was 8 hearing deer make all kinds of vocals I was obsessed with trying to mimic these sounds/calls with my natural voice and I can say with proof and evidence that I've mastered the art of calling with my natural voice. My hunt buddies hate me bc I have no need to carry grunt calls/bleats etc etc into the woods bc of 30+ years practice. I had a young 8 point just yesterday morning come mowing the palmettos down running into my short natural calling sequence. He came so close I could see the boogers up his nose and literally could see myself in the reflection of his eyes. I should seriously start carrying a camera and start videoing my hunts. I believe 100% people would watch. Anyways... Love the vids as always!!! I could listen and learn from this guy as long as he'd tolerate me being around baha. Bless!!!! YEEYEE

I am going to try it. I have gotten does to come in by mimicking a fawn bleat. I have had a few bust bust me and blow, and bleated and had her come running streat at me.

@BG-bx4ey he claims to be hunting public land in the basin, if you watch the entire podcast. The deer I tricked were all does, never had a buck come charging in to a bleat. I am in Florida, never killed a buck that didn't have some old buckshot somewhere in is hide. 😂

Woodswise game calls used to make a deer grunt tube called the "super hot mamma" It would mimic the calls hes making and that deer call wirked but didnt last long before distorting. I did however implement the sequence with other calls. And blow through the can call instead of tipping it

Mimicking deer vocalizations to sound like the real deal takes a little practice with the help of research to make sure you’re doing it correctly. It doesn’t hurt to actually put faith and trust in using the right type of deer calls and calling sequences at the right times of year. The calls that can be used year round are short soft attention grunts or bleats that typically does with fawns sound off several times a day. The bucks traveling together during summer and early September will often use attention calls as their grazing together and occasionally sparring as the pecking order is being established. Obviously the louder and more urgent calls are typically used during pre-rut on through the rut. Does nearing estrus will occasionally sound off a little bit longer and louder bleats. If a buck is tailing her he might give off a loud grunt or two. If he gets frustrated he might do a “bawl”, which is just a really loud drawn out guttural grunt. Sometimes a buck following in a hot does every “hoof step” will grunt every step he takes known as a “tending grunting”. It really all boils down to picking the right type of call for the right time of year and really believe that it will work. COMMERCIAL DEER CALLS WORK! Obviously when used correctly. Use deer calls on the calmer days and colder days as the deer will actually hear your calling then. Research has proven deer pick up on similar frequencies of sounds at the same distances as humans. If we can’t hear a grunt call a hundred yards away on a breezy warm day then a deer can’t either. It took using my deer calls to coax in a nice 202 lb nine point buck this past Halloween day. I made a nice 10 yard shot with the bow. I would have never gotten this buck if it hadn’t been for using my deer call to mimic a doe bleating and a tending buck on her tail. I hope those of you feeling iffy about trying commercial deer calls actually get out there giving it your best shot. You might be surprised just how effective they can be.

I believe if you let the primos can call do the long bleet it's more like their alarm or scared call. I like doing short partial bleets with the can the deer seem to come right for me.

I'm going to try this, the rut is odd this year, like way off up here in north idaho, there is like 2 or 3 does in heat in my area, in like a 20 square mile area, when last year the rut was on full blast right now, so I've going to give this a shot, hopefully it works.

Two caveats: 1. The deer have to hear you 2. The deer has to want to come investigate. Calling is a low percentage tactic or else big bucks would be dropping like crazy.
