I was watching The Waltons last night with my boyfriend and they showed John Boy coming into the Godsey store to use the phone and I said to my boyfriend oh this family that I watch on KZbin is looking for a phone like that. Hey, y'all need to find one of those old televisions, gut it, put a modern television inside. Get a DVD player and play old TV shows or movies. I've wanted to do that forever. Y'all do it and I'll watch. You can put it on your back porch with all your other old things.

That old wall phone . We had one. The whole family lived within a 5 / 10 mile radius. When you cranked it one ring crank was grandma two ring crank was mom. And so on. It's hard to explain. But the water bucket sat on a small table under the phone. If you crank the phone and touch the metal water bucket , it was a good shock. My brother's would try to shock me.

I heard it takes a year or two for bats 🦇 to take up residence in the bat houses you put out.But they’re so fascinating.They eat up to 1,000 insects an hour or about 6,000 per night.They’re not very pretty to look at but boy they can eat the flying insects 🐞 Falon I saw you grabbed a Figi water.I love the taste of that water.

When you was talking about the little girl on the Steve urkel show. How she just wasn't there anymore! The same thing on "Happy Days" with the oldest son. Oh yeah, my Nice and her family went on a vacation down to Florida. And they stayed in a cabin somewhere in Florida and they had beds, just like the one Titus had made! It was bump beds with a full size bed on the bottom and a twin size on top. It looked just like your bed.

Dollars tree and family Dollar and Dollar general all going out of business. Here in Arizona all the 99 cent stores are all gone out of business. I have a friend that works at Family Dollar one day until the next they don't know when they will get their walking papers and lose their job. She said that people are doing more shopping online and having packages delivered to their home and people are having people do the shopping for them and will they do drive to the store and have people bring groceries bags out to the car.

My grandson couldn’t believe that we didn’t have caller ID when I was growing up either. He really couldn’t believe that when I was little we didn’t have to ride in carseats we just sit in our seat or in our Mama’s lap. But every time I get a new cell phone he can tell me all about it. Remember the days when you just played outside, riding bike but you had to be home before the streetlight came on. Things were a lot different than today for sure. Good times! Great memories!

I remember party lines growing up. We had a beige wall phone, the only one in the house. The phone numbers started with letters and we had time limits on our calls. The phone in my 1st apartment was harvest gold. Sissy was so cute wondering why you couldn't see who was calling on the vintage phone🙂
