I started out liking both Vanessa and Angela, but later found Vanessa rude and condescending. I thought they would be great mates after the show, but again Vanessa was rude on her night refusing to eat her food. It may have been because Angie said Malta wasn’t big enough for her, though. Angie must colour her blonde roots lol she’s ditzy as hell, but seems a lot of fun to be around. I thought Vanessa was quite mean to mark and he took everything in stride. Mark was nice and fair to everyone. Aaron was just a blob in the corner voting everyone low to increase his odds. He’s not worth writing about.

Terminal velocity is reached with parachute jumping. Then, it is stable, until parachute pulled. That speed can vary, if you are going head first, if you are streamlining yourself, etc You don't increase speed with height, once a steady fall is established. You could fall faster, to start with, if you were so high that the air is thinner.

Very interesting. Lamb/mutton meat is very popular in my country, it has its own section at the shops, just like beef or chicken. But I can also understand that if you haven't grown up in that culture, it would seem wrong. I've never met anyone who has eaten rabbit though.

Angela is really something else!! She is totally and completely rude and disgraceful. The way she kept coming after Mark was just so uncalled for!! So what if the man is different than you are so what!! He is not doing anything criminal and he can be different all he wants to and be exactly the way he wants to!! As long as you're not hurting anyone or doing something criminal. You are allowed to be the person you want to be... And no one else has a right to put you down for that. I am only up to Mark's start of dinner, but do you really think Angela rude? She is uneducated, unschooled in reserved English manners. She is immensely curious and doesn't know English people are far more reserved about showing curiosity, or answering questions. So far, I have not found her rude or disgraceful! Then to be told it would be another week - and then find out that ship, too, is destroyed before unloading... The hardship of the Maltese and their grim stoicism, moved George VI to award the whole of Malta the George Cross. The luckiest ate the odd wild shot rabbit. They came to eat dogs, cats, even rats. Those generations would see raising rabbits in the tiny yards they had as backyards, as a guarantee of food and quality. I could not go there, but I do understand their mindset. I would not eat rabbit or lamb. I have rescued sheep as pets. No sooner eat lamb or mutton, as dog.

I would love to read a Maltese history telling about the war experience there. Being such a small country, I've never heard anything about it. Have to say, I'd never not eat an animal that has been specifically bred for consumption. Dogs, cats, I get it, they're pets. Rabbits & lambs, not so much. I take too much pride in being a rational person to let a creature's cute appearance affect my judgment. Likewise I'd be just as content to eat rats, if they tasted good. I do enjoy squirrel meat. My grandmother used to hunt them for us and I don't think a meat is dirty because it happens to be from a rodent. (Rabbits and squirrels are both rodents).

She is uneducated, has mixed with uneducated people who have never had a reason to worry about etiquette, history, etc. That doesn't mean she is thick. She has a very nice, undemanding little business, which she may well have developed herself, seems friendly and non judgemental, and very curious. That points to a degree of inbuilt intelligence. She has not learnt about the inbuilt reserve and judgemental observation of probably the majority of anglo background English. So she can seem confrontational, but she really is enthusiastically, uninhibitedly curious. A great sign of intelligence and a desire to understand. Sadly, she seems to have not had the opportunity or has been put off formal learning. I suspect by some middle class, 2nd rate teachers, who judged her from her speech, background, and not her potential.

Oh Mark! Just found the remark that refers to which came first, chicken or egg. Whilst Mark's view of which came first is well thought out, I am SO disappointed with him not knowing that dinasours laid eggs, long before chickens, as chickens, existed. But at least his considered theory beats the Religionist in these comments, who apparently believes God of some kind, unpacked the first chicken which then laid the first egg. Just so depressing that to be seen as a devout Xtian, you have to exhibit jaw dropping ignorance of biology - and no doubt everything else.
