I started watching Delos earlier this year, and I am still catching up on everything, watching from episode 1. Very awesome! Diving for a 10 day liveaboard Galapagos trip was among my top most-memorable diving experiences in my 4000+ dive history. We had at least two whale-sharks per dive when they cautioned we might not see any at that time of year (June?). Some people refer to 70 °F (21 °C) as "cold water" diving. I am from Oregon where 50 °F (10 °C) ocean is typical. But you agree with PADI's definition. There were a few dives near Wolf and Darwin islands which were closer to 50 °F for the giant herd of resting sharks. The Warm Water divers didn't see much of it, unfortunately.

Just got back from the trip to Galapagos with Brady and Blue. It was unbelievable. The whole experience was fantastic. The ship crew and fellow travelers were all super cool. Saw schools of a thousand barracuda, many turtles, schools of hammerheads, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, many morey eels, and giant sunfish. The best diving ever. Can't wait to see the videos of it.

So, I've had this idea since Bryan mentioned someplace about possibly completing the Northwest Passage in Delos. If he did that and returned Delos to Seattle that will complete a circumnavigation. Of course all of you know that. What I've not been able to find is another circumnavigation by anyone or any boat or ship via bothe the NWP and the Cape of Good Hope. Dellos and Bryan could go down in history as the first to complete that route. Just wanted to say that.

Awesome! Not SCUBA certified, but I had the opportunity to travel to San Cristobal, Galapagos last summer. A magical place and an experience I will never forget. More aquatic life than I have ever seen and that was just snorkeling! I am sure that you will get to dive Kicker Rock during your trip to San Cristobal and I can't wait to see your footage from those dives...I know it will be much better than my shotty GoPro footage!

Great way to start off the channel......When I first saw Brady in his dive gear in the snow I figured, there going diving in Iceland or Greenland like you did when you were on Delos.....That was Beautiful.....Galapagos dream come true.....Blue, I'm not sure if it's true, but I heard most cruisers don't go to the Galapagos because of the 1000.00 dollar fee. Not sure if thats per boat or per person.... Make sure you take a lot of pictures.....lmao

Oh my gosh this sounds amazing! I have my open water and my rescue diver and this still sounds like its above my level. Who knows let see if I can put it together. It sure sounds fun. Definitely a great way to start off the new year!

If you are unsure of skills but interested in the trip I would still reach out and talk to them. There may be some dives that you need to sit out but they will be able to give you a more detailed itenerary on what to expect!

Great place to dive, I have dove there 3 times now. It is like no other place but it is expensive, the Equatorial government puts so many fees, a dive fee, a anchoring fee, a per person fee a dive fee it becomes priced out of reach for so many. If you get to go up to Isle of Pinta you will experience the greatest sight in the water, the hammerhead migration. Everyday tens of thousands go out and in the evening they all come back and you can sit and watch. A lot of current so yes NOT FOR Beginners, so many starters were there and got into trouble, air management is essential and having blended air helps also. Have fun guys it is a great trip.

Hi guys, great to see you back on KZbin. I found the Delos channel last Christmas by chance. Watching you guys got me hooked on sailing. I couldn’t get lessons because of covid. I got fed up waiting, so I bought a 30ft coastal cruiser. I’m being self taught. It’s slow, but it is happening. November one year ago, I had the chance of a lifetime and got to dive Galapagos, it was on the Humbold, great boat, excellent crew. I’m really really interested in returning. I could probably fill the boat with Irish divers.

Guys if this thing is successful and I think it will be. You may want to check out other dive charters. Like Aggressor and others. Can you say Raja Ampat, Red Sea, Palau, Fiji, Solomons. I had friends do photo safaris. when ever there was a last minute cancellation I got go for cheap. Be sure to take your wide angle lens to Galapagos you gonna need it.

Sounds like a trip of a lifetime! We're in. Just booked the flights and hopefully get confirmed on our cabin by tomorrow. Update: Nov 26th - I spoke with Jennifer at Explorer Adventures. She said you guys needed to move your trip to March 29th and April 10 due to some logistical issues. We would love to be on this adventure with you guys but it's definitely a tough time to have any guarantees. We will hope for the best but anticipate being in the Galapagos either way!
