Tip from a tourist 😉: If you want to go to Middlesex Street you have to go on Sundays. Then there is the famous Pettycoat Lane Street Market and there are actually Stands in the street. Another great place to shop for cheap fabric is Queens Market right next to Upton Park station. I went there yesterday and bought some amazing fabrics. Prices start at £ 1 per yard or £ 1.10 per meter. Across the street from the station is a small shop selling Ankara fabrics starting as low as £ 10 for 6 yards. Please keep making your videos and vlogs - I enjoy them very much. 🤗🤗

Are all the fabrics pre cut? I would love to go shopping there (with a bottomless wallet of course), great video 🙂 that zipper store was incredible. I'm on the other side of the world 😉 never saw any of those kind of stores in real life. Envious, but I don't know where I'd wear all the clothes I'd like to make LOL.

Yes they are pre cut usually in 6 yards bundles. I love to visit shops like this a lot even if I don’t buy anything 😃 You can shop for fabrics online if you desire a Fabric treat for yourself 😏

Deptford Market is a great place to get some Ankara fabrics. I recently went there and they had amazing prints. In one store they were selling 6 metres of Ankara for £7 and 2 for £15 and they also had ones that were also 6 metres for £5. The store is called OMED fabrics

I think you find that it is 6 yards, not metres. I have the very same material, and it says 6 yards or 5,45 metres. But, do you wash these materials before you sew with them?
@KimDave6 жыл бұрын
I usually don't wash them before sewing with them 🙂

The problem with buying African fabric in London is 1- you barely see black people selling it. 2- people who usually sell it don’t know s* about the fabric only say: “it’s very good” 3- don’t even know what means the patterns/draws on the fabric. 4- does it really comes from Africa????
