Thank you for opening the scriptures to us in such a profound and powerful way. I especially appreciate how you compare the different doctrines taught by different missionaries in the scriptures. I also appreciate how you give examples of how to apply the principles we are studying to our lives in 2020. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is alive and vibrant. When we let it change us we become new creatures and grow to be more and more like Christ.

"Be yourself. Be the best version of yourself, but be you." Thank you for sharing that. Sometimes, in our effort to become better we try to become like others. The Lord needs us. Each one of us are unique and we can contribute in a way no one else can.

Amen! I love how that principle is taught in D&C 46 - we all have gifts, but we don't individually have all the gifts, so we need each other. We need each others' gifts! The ones that make us who we are.

Something stood out to me that never really had before... Ammon rejected an earthly kingdom 3 times! What faith and stamina to keep going through his trials of missionary work instead of ‘kicking back’ in comfort. What an exemple of faith and enduring to the end for the cause of Christ!! Thank you bro Halverson!!!!

Watched 2&3 this morning. A great friendship was created. A companionship that blessed thousands and blesses us today. Good to learn about Aaron and his experiences. Wonderful sons of Mosiah. Thank you for teaching us. You are a blessing in our lives. I am filling up pages of notes. Haha. My scriptures are a blessing in my life.

Amen Judie, thankyou Jared you have a blessed gift of the Lord. Love the Spirit you deliver your message in. Love the comments from other class members, most of all love the source of your teaching. Love that the Lord blessed Aaron with the father of Lamoni as a convert. Love that Ammon prepared the way for that conversion. One day I felt the Spirit say that Lamoni's fathers desire to give away all his sins is a central purpose for our study of the Book of Mormon. I did a page count and found that his conversion is in the middle of the book, so I call the declaration, "I will give away all my sins to know God" the heart of the Book of Mormon message. In it I see Aaron as a type for Christ, the suffering servant who is chosen to give him that opportunity. Your lesson points brought out the latter. Thankyou so much.

What a beautiful, insightful comment! Thank you for sharing that. You're so right--Aaron is a powerful type of Jesus, and I would agree that giving away our sins is one of the most central, foundational messages of the Book of Mormon. Thanks again for drawing our attention to that truth!
