Thank you for these videos!! I love how you talk about the happiness the gospel can and does bring. I too believe that we need to share more joy, more enthusiasm at Church and in life in general. We have had a lot of leaving and returning missionaries speak at our Sacrament meetings. A few weeks back one Sister missionary that was about to head out said with great joy and enthusiasm, like a young child on Christmas eve, "I am so excited and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for me on my mission!!!" When I heard that it woke me up a bit inside, and I thought to myself why aren't we all saying that? We should and could be. It's something we could be saying each morning, "I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for me today!" What ever it may be the happy and the sad, the hard and the easy is all beautiful!! It's beautiful because it's God's plan, and we are His, and He is the one in charge running every thing up above!

I'm honored to even be mentioned in the same sentence as someone like Ammon. He's always been one of my missionary heroes. Thank you for your kind words. It's a blessing to be able to share the powerful messages of these Book of Mormon prophets with others!

Thank you for your testimony that "wickedness never was happiness." I have been studying and pondering how best to teach a child to want to keep the commandments. There are definitely lots of ways to do it! But one piece of that puzzle fell into place when I heard you bring up that scripture in this video. It made the words hit me in a different way. If we can truly bare testimony that wickedness never was happiness, that straying from commandments no matter how fun or cool it seems, our children will feel that. Thank you for inviting the spirit so I could have this truth confirmed to me.

What a beautiful insight--and like you said, it came from the Spirit, with this lesson only providing an opportunity for Him to testify of truth to you. In some ways, that's all we can do as parents as well--teaching these truths and pray that our kids have the kind of experience you did. It's hard because it feels like it's largely out of our control, but that's exactly what parenting, teaching, and leading are all about--shepherding people who are largely out of our control. Good luck!

My heart overflows with joy as we listen to the words and insights you share. My husband and I spend our extra time together during the week listening to the words of the spirit teach our hearts what he would have us know through your discussions. My husband actually said this morning "is he going to continue teaching even when things go back to normal". I really hope you do. Like Ammon, "this is my life and my light, my joy and my salvation" I am coming to know my Savior, myself and my fellow brothers and sisters better through my study of the scriptures and you are an instrument in the Lord's hands in helping me do so. For you, your insights and the spirit you bring with you, "I will give thanks into my God, forever"

Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. Knowing that someone else is receiving a gift in the spirit in which it's given is all that a teacher can ask for. There is such light and truth in the scriptures! I'm grateful we get to study them together.

What a wonderful story that took place in Africa all because someone found a Book of Mormon and bore testimony of it. What an amazing visit from church leadership and the story of the old sick man walking 16 miles each way, and story of how sincere he was. It’s great that these people of Kenya were able to get baptized in the 1960’s. But then my question is how did they have a functioning church or branch without the priesthood?

I want to make a comment to your comparing the Protestant Church to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Being raised in the First Baptist Church for over 40 years. And when my church wasn’t available I would go to any Protestant church that was available. I am grateful for the way we conduct our meetings. I do not compare our meetings with other churches. I am so grateful for the way our meetings are conducted and our wonderful saints. All churches have special ways in the way they conduct their meetings and people have special ways in living and responding to their church. In all the fields of your education I can see where you would compare. But believe me at 94 years young I will never compare. I am grateful for every part of our church and every last one of our saints. We just need to be super committed to loving each other and being there for each other. My heart weeps for those that are falling away from any church or have turned away from God and Jesus Christ. My prayers are for the people of any faith to double down and embrace and love those around them. My thanks 🙏 and prayers are with you always. I watch you faithfully. Barbara

Your media embellishments are wonderful and time consuming interwoven with your lesson plan. Also, I agree with the underwhelming. The evangelicals have a most powerful approach that is absolutely spirit filled. Not necessarily via band music but in the group participation of how they praise. Powerful! With that being said, I've had my witness from God the Holy Spirit from 3 Nephi 11. It was like an NDE for me at age 11. No one can understand it except those who have had it. If it weren't for that undeniable witness, the Restored Gospel would have been meaningless

Thank you for your thoughts on the temple. I had another thought about "gathering together in their place." In my area, we will soon be going back to church once a month and I keep thinking, "Why? I can have the sacrament in my home. I can sing songs in my home, etc. The restrictions that are placed upon the brethren to have sacrament meeting is amazing, but then I read this scripture Alma 26:10 - "...but when the storm cometh they shall gather together in their place, that the storm cannot penetrate to them.." I realized, that yes, it's for the sacrament, but it's also for the "gathering together" that the storm cannot penetrate to us as saints. We need each other. We need to gather to help us through this storm. Just my thought and thank you.

Jon replying to your post ...maybe I wrote it down a bit different from you .i was not morally unclean but I was not keeping other commandment such as smoking and drinking ..so who am I to judge ,,I try not to be judgemental .I am sorry if that's how I have come across..some things are meant a little differently to yours here in England .. So forgive me if you thought that's what I was being .....
