D & C 10 really brought to significant recognition all the President Nelson has been doing since he became our prophet . He and the other brother and have extensively reached out and had our church reach out to all faiths, other church leaders, Christian and non-Christian organizations to extend the hand of friendship and love. The recent examples in the last two years seems to have increased dramatically or maybe it’s just the exposure that has increased. I enjoy so much being able to go up to a Muslim or a black person or a Native American or Asian or anybody other than Waite and receive such a positive response to my extend a greeting or well wishing! I really like section 10!And I truly enjoy your method of teaching and your passion and the testimony that so clearly comes through! I am so glad I found you!

Then in class we get together to discuss what we've been learning. It's the best of both worlds--I can cover everything I want in the videos, and the students can discuss anything they want in class. And anyone else in the world can "sneak into the back of the classroom" :) Win-win!

We are all having a learning experience here. I'm thankful for Come Follow Me & Book of Mormon Central. I'm thankful your lessons. Some people I have known on my journey, have been toxic influences, yet have had reason to believe the path they were on was the best they could do under the sercomstances. I believe they were probably right - they seemed to understand how to improve over time on their path.Hopefully as their understanding & trust in The Lord grows, they may come to make a commitment to surve only The Lord - realizing that The Lord will help them & If they make poor choices along the way, the can repent. So that they may learn to give without gouging, in order to keep the upper hand. Accualy - who knowingly would want to except any thing from them even friendship when it comes with the understanding that they built totumpole relationships & will protect themselves & their way of life. How wonderful if someday they could learn to really work at the 2nd Commandment as well & try to learn with The Lord's help, to love enough so that they could not bring themselves to abuse any one. How wonderful if they could realize the joy that comes into our lives when we work to obay these commandments & realize just how wonderful The Lord is to us, how patients He is as we try. Truly it's important that we learn who God The Father and His Son Jesus Christ are. I'm thankful to know more about unrightious dominion & the importance of personal agency. And that we don't need to stay in toxic relationships. The Lord provides away for us even as He did in Book of Mormon times & for the pioneers in the early days of The Church. What a wonderful example the Nephits set, to pray for the day the Laminits would be converted. And to do their best to live the commandments, and when it was time according to The Lord's will - The Lord told Nephi & those who would go with him to leave Lamen & those who followed him. And yet always to the very end rightious Nephits prayed that someday the Laminits would be converted. I'm so greatful for The Gospel. This was a wonderful lesson, learning about the apostace in this way was enlightening. The whole lesson was. Thank you again.

1:39:00. Interesting concept. 42 years ago I was a Catholic. About 10 years ago, when I was teaching Seminary, I told my students something that surprised them. I told them that 80% of what I was taught (and I was taught a lot in a convent school!) about the gospel in the Catholic Church was correct. Only 20% was incorrect. It was a straightforward matter to replace the 20% with correct doctrine, and since then, I have learned so so much more.

There are many who have published their research about the Last days, including their version of the timeline that is spoken of by John the Revelatory. Brother Halverson brings a fresh, accurate discussion of how the Restored Church of Jesus Christ is the means by which all mankind is to be one, under the Leadership of Jehovah, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. For any who have a desire to know the truth of God’s plan for us, I recommend that you listen to this able, humble teacher. Thank you so much for that, Brother Richmond. Finding the proper balance in our approach to the Last Days and Second Coming can be difficult. "Too cold" and we descend into apathy and complacency; "too hot" and we fall into fanaticism and overzealousness. I pray we can steadily and peacefully add oils to our lamps, drop by drop, so that we can be prepared to meet the Lord, whenever He comes to us or whenever we go to Him. Thank you again.

I've always admired how wonderful spirits have lived in this world, like Hyrum Smith for example. And today, I found that it is my work, my privilege, and my glory (and so if for everyone) to be enlightened. All that is required is for me to set my heart into wanting to become like (by following) Christ, and by doing so (with all my might, mind, and strength), I'll be gifted with the Lord's Spirit and I'll become what the Father and Jesus Christ have intended me to become from the very first moment: a daughter of God and co-heir with Christ. First of all, the "oneness" of the Lord's people and "unity in orthodoxy" was some of the best doctrine that I have ever heard. I've been listening to your videos since almost the beginning and I must listen to this for my Come, Follow Me study each week. Thank you for your tremendous insights that you have learned through the Spirit. I also liked your approach to tackling Revelation 12 and how it applies to the Restoration. There are a couple of things that trouble me a little about your interpretation, not your application, but what Revelation 12 actually says. Revelation 12: 5 JST 5 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore years. Joseph Smith changed that last word in the verse to "years" instead of the KJV "days". This has significance beyond the 3 1/2 year interpretation. It still fits with this period representing the apostasy and this falls in line with what you have taught, but it is a much longer period and likely one that fits nicely from some important historical point down through the apostasy to arrive at the restoration. So no big deal for those ideas. It might have a significant impact on verse 14 however. It does not appear that verse 5 and 14 are synonymous as you have taught, rather they appear to be two separate events. The 3 1/2 year timeframe still applies to verse 14 as you did mention but it may connect better to Revelation 13: 3-7 that also has a 3 1/2 year timeframe where the seven headed dragon is given power to make war with the saints and overcome them after one of the heads receives a deadly wound and is healed. It would make sense that the church would be "given wings of an eagle" to flee into the wilderness when the dragon/beast of the last days has power to overcome them AND will be able to control the economy so that "no man might buy or sell" unless they bow down to the beast and take upon them the mark of this beast. These are future events, and a future 3 1/2 year period, and it very much appears that the church will need to be given wings/power to flee for a time period while the Lord preaches his own sermons by great trials and tribulations that will befall the wicked in those days.

Wow! This was awesome. Among other things that this inspired me to do, I went back and re-read the talk by Elder Featherstone that was entitled “Things Too Wonderful for Me.” I saw it in a whole new light - the light of our need to prepare and read, study, ponder and pray. I was deeply touched by the spirit as I participated in this presentation. I think section 10 is my new favorite section, until...

Haha! I loved your last sentence :) I feel that way about scripture too--my "favorite" tends to be whatever I'm studying at the time! And kudos to you for rereading Elder Featherstone's talk--it's powerful. Makes me wish I could have been a fly on the wall in that training from President Packer!

Thanks for the recommendation. I just read E. Featherstone’s talk and am deeply inspired. Reading his words in the latter end of the latter days does shed a very different light on it. Now more than ever we need to be preparing to see that fulfillment come to pass. How incredible! I love how he included the women of the church. I never have felt excluded, but It becomes more personal when wives, mothers and daughters are mentioned.

@@laurap5019 Definitely an amazing talk! Glad you went back to read it. And I totally agree--the gospel only reaches its "fulness" when God's daughters are included. Thank you!

Thankyou Brother Halverson for your faithful teaching. You have helped me to meet with the Saviour for the first time in my long life, full of faith, faithful member for 26 yrs. At the moment, I am in hospital with my husband. He has just had a bad turn after his operation, right in the middle of listening to this lesson( me, not him..). After recovering and after saying quick prayers for help whilst the nurses and doctors were all around my husband, I felt, for the very first time, the distinct presence of the Saviour. He was right there in the room with us, watching.. being with us. My husband has recovered and is now sleeping peacefully. But I am crying huge tears of gratitude to both the Saviour, for his presence, the doctors and nurses for their care, and to you for helping me to get to know the Saviour over these months of your lessons, and for helping me to allow Him into our lives... I thought I knew it all...now I know I know more, much more than I ever did before.. Thankyou for sharing your precious knowlegde with us so unselfishly. With sisterly love from France.

@@pathughes9242 Thank you so much, Sister Hughes. What a blessing the Lord has given you in strengthening you and watching over your husband. Seeing God's tender mercies in our lives is such a blessing, and such a source of strength when we pass through trials. Bro. Unshaken, Another great lesson! I appreciate how you make these sections come alive with history and stories. I can relate to Hyrum when he was told to wait, hold his peace and study. My mission call was in December 2019, and thanks to The Rona, I’m still being postponed ( I think I must hold some kinda record for start dates). And like Hyrum I was also told what I need to work on during my waiting time. It’s a process, sometimes it’s one step forward, two back, or I’m just stopped and sinking. But then the answers come! And I’m moving again. I feel the spirit strongly in your lessons. Thank you!

I am happily feeling joy and gratitude as you discussed the churches and Zion of God being inclusive of all. It thrills me to hear the gospel being discussed and taught in such an inclusive way! Before this I had these feelings in my heart that there had to be a way to be inclusive of all goodness in the world as we think about things like "there are only two churches". Seems like we too often hear that to mean the good church is exclusive to LDS. I also love your teaching of the apostasy being a time of nourishment for "Her"! Anyway, I cannot describe well my feelings, but thank you for opening my mind and heart to a better understanding!!

Thank you so much for putting these lessons together. I love the format! Nothing ostentatious, nothing intimidating. Just the spirit being poured out. I'm amazed that anyone can talk that long without skipping a beat. No unnecessary pauses. No stepping away to use the restroom or to get a drink. Just uninterrupted flowing of the spirt. It shows remarkable talent and preparation... I do, however, have a request. Can you do a presentation on Revelation chapter 12? Today's lesson included some of that but it left me with more questions. One of those being, "What are we to understand about the two three and a half year periods spoken of in Revelation chapter 12?" It's not a question covered in section 77. Thank you for considering it.

Your explanation of Satan coming at the church and us with every scheme and restratigizing is so true of my life. Being very trusting I've stepped in many bad situations always believing the best of people. One would think at the age of 70 I would have learned. Heavenly Father has taken me out of many set ups of the adversary for which He shows his tender mercies. May He bless those in His church with many tender mercies and help us to learn to receive revelation.

Thank you for another very uplifting lesson .. a note: As an Art Historian, specialised in the middle Age in Europe from 5th century to the turning of the millenium, I have always been very uncomfortable with the way members( bethren included) have been describing this era and the apostasy in such a simplistic manner. The reality was very much more complex . I am grateful for the wonderful christian heritage I have received from these long-dead forefathers who did their best to build up the kingdom of God on Earth, and saved the Word of Christ through centuries. Thank you again Jared for your insight in this matter.
