When you mentioned v.58 and raising children during the Millennium, my mind pictured Christ tapping on the shoulder of all the women who lost their children, and they would turn around to see Christ holding them as He says, "You can have your children now. They were too pure to be raised during any other time." That was a really tender, beautiful image to my heart. Thanks again for sharing your insights and allowing the Spirit to touch my heart and mind.

I love your teaching the scriptures sometimes it makes me cry with gladness of the fullness of the Gospel and the Restored Church of Jesus Christ. What a blessing when I found the Restored Church. I was looking for it or for it to come. I had been taught lies about Joseph Smith Jr and the "Mormon Church." I was a former Baptist minister 51 years ago and while preaching a sermon I repeated what I had been taught that the KJV-Holy Bible is the only scriptures that God has given us and I said such as the Book of Mormon. When I said that the Holy Spirit startled me with this statement "How Do You Know That Is Ture". I did not know so I was determined to find out. I obtained a Book of Mormon and while reading it I contacted the missionaries. My wife opposed me even talking to Mormons, I told her that I study and ask God you ask God to tell me that I am wrong. She changed the way she was praying and came out of the bedroom excited and said "I was praying and a light came into the room and a voice said "Your Husband Is Seeking To Serve God, Follow Him", she said I know the Mormon Church is true and I want to be baptized. My father also a former Baptist minister said to me "you have been deceived, Mormons are not Christian, I said they are Christian, have you read the Book of Mormon, no, please read it. He finally relented 4 months later and read the Book of Mormon and came to me and said he and mother know that it is true and we want to join the Church. The 1st year 14 members of my family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That was 51 years ago. The Church is True, Joseph Smith, Jr is the prophet of the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ. I know that it is True. I am 83 years old and I take every opportunity to tell my story of finding the Restored Church of Jesus Christ. I am currently the Ward organist. The Ward was praying for an organist and God sent me to them. I have been off and on, depending on my calling the Ward organist for 51 years. I hope we will have a Great Organ in Heaven. Love you all.

What struck me most profoundly when I read verses 31 and 32 (which talk about the desolating sickness and standing in holy places) at the height of the shutdown last year was that prior to the pandemic I always associated the holy place with the temple. However when everything shut down, the temple and meeting houses were included in those closures. The only holy place available for us to stand in was our own home. It punctuated for me the necessity to make our homes holy places, indeed, because other holy places may not always be available to stand in.

Brother Jared, please tell your family that they are also setting such a fine and strong example to many of us too. They are giving us soooo much of their time and love, as well as you. It is not just the video time, but the preparation time and editing time, the time you take away from them that they are giving to us... May they also be richly blessed for such generosity. And I know it's not easy either. I remember only seeing my husband at weekends when he worked in Europe and Egypt each week, then he would fall asleep in the chair over the weekends, exhausted. The burden on my shoulders of having to do everything else to keep the family and household running, and work fulltime too was hard.. to say the least, so I really do appreciate what your family is also sharing with us who love to listen each week to your lectures. Give them a special treat from us all too will you? They so richly deserve a treat and a huge thankyou also..

Thank you Bro. Halverson for another important and inspiring reminder about the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ including the Book of Mormon. Just last week a long time friend told me of some very serious sins he has been committing, but then also tried to justify it by stating his belief in some untrue things he heard recently about Joseph Smith. I then asked my friend, when was the last time he prayed, or read the Book of Mormon, or wore his garments, or went to the temple, and so on. He was unable to answer these questions. And this is a man who once served a mission and was married in the temple. It saddens me that he is choosing to justify his sins by casting doubt on the truthfulness of the church. Please be strong everyone, the adversary is real and ripping families and souls apart as fast as he can. We must put on our armor every single day, and kneel before our Maker constantly begging for His guidance and protection, and I promise that He will send angels to bear you up. God bless!

I love the subject of your dissertation. I've read a bit about Paine and his words were so disturbing about the Bible or other religious beliefs. It reminds me of a the quote by Twain: "For your race, in its poverty, has unquestionably one really effective weapon--laughter. Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution --these can lift at a colossal humbug--push it a little--weaken it a little, century by century; but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand." I am so heartened by the fact that it still stands. It's a testimony of its truth.

Thank you Bro Halverson for the sacrifice of your time to share these podcasts with us. Speaking of our handling of trial and persecution, 'mocking,' as we know, has always accompanied the saints in every era. As a convert I've experienced this from the beginning. What helped me were these verses from the New Testament regarding the apostles attitude to this. "Beloved think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to unto you, but rejoice inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christs sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye..." 1 Peter : 12,13 Also Acts :5, 40,- 42.

So many deep but simple truths here other Christian Churches do not have and so much clarity as to what we must do to be not deceived. I note that one must be able to know and see all the wonderful inner workings and relationships of each of the Saints as we work to become of one mind and one heart within every detail of the administrated gospel of Christ as it is taught and practiced. It might be of interest to some to know that Independence, MO Stake is Celebrating 50 years of existence this year. We who live here had a wonderful celebration gathering on the green yesterday that included talent from many cultures throughout the world. We also put together a time capsule of who we are to be opened 50 years from now.

The great and spacious building that is the only job is to criticize and make a joke of the Gospel Jesus Christ. It was even when the Lord was upon the Earth , Noah, Joseph Smith and so many others even now Satan is hard at work. Trying to change the direction of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The bad thing of it is the people that are misled and cheated out of their great inheritance. It's so sad when you have so many misleading people. I just don't want to be in their shoes when they meet our Lord at judgment time. I feel sad and heartbroken that these people would try and lie and mislead the people. They have a choice just as we do, Choice matters and your words. We are all grateful for the come follow me program. It is the Lord's work and I'm grateful for it. Stand firm on your foundation of Christ. Keep building your testimony. Pray always and read those scriptures, it is a must that you put on your armor of God daily so these fiery darts Satan's missionaries cannot penetrate. I am so grateful and privileged to be apart of this great church of Jesus Christ ! Also to be living in this great nation🇺🇸 thank the Lord we have President Nelson and a12 Apostles to lead us in these last days!

Brother Halverson it says “if possible, they shall deceive the very elect, who are elect according to the covenant “ It’s the “ if possible” that is so important. The scriptures speak of promises for those that are striving for sanctification and therefore it is more important to teach sanctification to become elect then to use that scripture to generate fear.

I love how you quote from the Bible. I feel the Bible gets neglected in our LDS teachings, yet it has so much to offer!

We can share our food storage, out time, our resources, our example, and the Light of Christ; we can teach what we know through the Holy Ghost;, but we cannot share the Gift of the Holy Ghost and what we have become through it working in us.
