I am writing on my husband's account. He passed away several years ago. I have been listening and watching your lessons for over a year. I am so grateful for your willingness to share your knowledge and your ability to present in such an interesting and faith promoting and calming manner. I also appreciate your feelings about inclusiveness for our wonderful brothers and sisters of different faiths and how we can love and help each other through life. Your positivity about our possibilities in this life, and your encouragement to continue on in faithfulness on the upward straight and narrow path, is greatly appreciated. Thank you more than I can say.

I just want to commend you for putting all these information together. I learned a lot from you, as the spirit in tune with mine I testify it is for my own sake of deep learning, not for anyone else. Thankful, Greatful for all your effort. Thanks again, continue your expertise in teaching the gospel and His children.

I am single and work nights. I moved during covid and lost my familiar ward family. I often have trouble getting to Sunday meetings because of my sleep schedule. My Bishop is amazing and encouraging. I find so much comfort in my scriptures. I found a "study companion" in you and feel like we are across the desk and I am learning with a friend. You have helped me more than I can express to press on no matter what life has dealt. May you be blessed with all you are in need of.

Thank you so much for these videos. With multiple health issues, I find it hard to do anything consistently, even reading scriptures. But your videos make it easy to invite the spirit into my home, and listen to scriptures as I multi-task other things that have to be done. Oddly enough, even though I'm not "studying" as much, I feel like I've gotten more out of the scriptures this last year from your videos.

We've been thoroughly enjoying it, and we did listen to every single one of your Old Testament lessons - yes, all 200+ hours :) - It is always one of the highlights of the week. It helped us to really appreciate the Old Testament to a much greater extent than we ever had before, and has helped us to draw closer to God and to Jesus Christ. Thank you so much for your dedication, preparation, and generosity in sharing these with everyone! We are very much looking forward to the coming New Testament lessons and at some point hope to watch all the earlier lessons previous to last year :)

Brother Halverson, Thank you So much for following the Holy Spirit of God! A few years ago, after I graduated from college, I stopped taking institute lessons. I kept having dreams every now and then about missing an entire year of class and then having to find it so I could either take a test or present my Final. However, as soon as I started listening to your Channel and dove deep as I listened to your lessons, my deadline dreams faded away! I am so grateful that you have continued sharing your testimony and inviting the Spirit to teach me a deeper level of study and understanding! Especially with the Old Testament!!! I've learned not only about the wonderful lessons found in these texts, but I have gained an appreciation and a deeper level of clarity on the True Nature of God. Yes, God is a God of Judgement and Justice, and we should be wise to remember that there consequences for our actions: Reap what we sow. But there is also another, Beautiful Truth of God's Love and Mercy for His Children! Thank you for sharing your thought about your frustrations about God who allowed Israel time and time again to Repent and choose God again, even with the perpetual "Pride Cyle". I too wonder sometimes why God allows people to choose to disobey Him and then needing sometimes trying reminders. But like you mentioned, I too have been given this opportunity to change. That even in or with my weakness of my mortal self, God "[has His] hands stretched out still". I am grateful for the opportunity to reexamine myself, repent, try again and again! I'm grateful that even if I don't know everything or even if I feel like I'm struggling to keep going whether I feel like it's climbing up a seemingly loose ground, being churned in the ocean, or if I feel like I'm trying to grip tightly on the Rod of Iron and my Testimony of Jesus Christ and Father in Heaven and Their Plan of Salvation, I am grateful for being able to reread scriptures, return each week to Church, have resources from the Church and for good teachers like you who help me understand God and keep my Faith Unshaken! Recently I remembered a line from the Hymn "How Firm a Foundation". (I remember most of the verse, but I've decided to include the First line because of it's Importance): "The Soul that on JESUS hath leaned for repose I Will NOT, I CANNOT, desert to His foes; That Soul, though ALL Hell should endeavor to shake, I’ll NEVER, No NEVER, I’ll NEVER, No NEVER, I’ll NEVER, No NEVER, No NEVER FORSAKE!*" * Emphasis added. Brother Halverson, what a lovely introduction about how you started this channel! God blessed you and guided you. COVID has had such a big influence in the world for good and for bad. I do not doubt that it was meant by the Lord for it to be like in the days of Moses to humble us and to draw us near unto God. I also don't doubt that it is as the prophecy that in the last days many would be hungry for the truth but would not know where to find it. This is a perfect way to reach out and spread the light of Christ.

I am so grateful for the sacrifice you make to help each of us get a little closer to our Saviour. I would very much appreciate access to your outline for studying all of the standard works in one year. May you be blessed abundantly for your gift to us and to Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much Bro Hal! My heart and soul have been craving this "intertestamental" lesson before beginning our New Testament CFM. I've been doing a lot of research on my own but it can get very daunting! So thank you, as you've always done, in helping me understand and make sense of the things I needed ❤️

Thank you for sharing and teaching. Ever since I lost my father I have realized that I lack a foundational understanding of the Bible that he had. You have been my anchor to the understanding that I desperately need and desire.

I just got back from a mission a year ago with my husband. The thing that we learned was that the gospel is not only a combination of Christianity - - Catholicism and Protestantism, it’s also a combination of Shinto and Buddhism. Many of the people did not want to listen to us us because they thought we were like the protestants in the Catholics. And the protestants in the Catholics don’t call us Christians because they think that we are more like the Asian religions. Go figure! That’s why I think it’s tricky to teach the gospel in Japan. I just wish they would give us a chance. The gospel of Jesus Christ includes the best of all religions.
