What can we learn from the establishment of the Church in the Book of Mormon to better understand the Church’s purpose and organization in our own day?
Does the persecution and driving into the wilderness of the Church founded by Alma foreshadow the driving and expulsion of the saints in the latter days?
In the Book of Mormon, Alma found himself in the midst of a priesthood that had become corrupt. Alma founded the Church of Christ in spite of persecution and harassment. Only through direction from the Lord were Alma and his people protected.
Because of wickedness, the keys and priesthood of God were taken from the earth. The Prophet Joseph Smith gathered and organized the Church of Christ in this dispensation with continuous threats by mobs, jealous clergy, and apostate saints. However, as with Alma, the Lord watched over the Prophet’s life and the lives of the saints until their work was completed.

my husband is a non member (he is 54 and I'm 53). we married 6 years ago and he said he would NEVER enter an LDS Church. I knew I was supposed to marry him. I have played your videos, in front of him) as I study the scriptures. About 8 weeks ago, he started attending Church with me, the missionaries come over every Tues, not to give the discussions but just engage with him. 2 days ago he gave me permission to do his grandparents and his sister's Temple work. Your videos are reaching people you never could have imagined.

This is so truly good it’s right before our eyes. Mega Churches like Olsteen church is huge and his pride is so massive and it came apparent when Houston Texas had a flood and he had that massive church he refused to bless others with protection and comfort and he refused to open his doors.

Hannah thank you for bringing to light how the progressive members have been and are currently trying to undermine the gospel, specifically Joseph Smith and his divine role, appointment and contribution. There needs to be formal debates with these people to reveal their deception.

In my opinion, no debates. Just education. For me, debates just divide further. People spiritually seeking will find the good stuff most of the time, and if they don't, they have the next world to do so.

I don't know how (I'm beginning to think it was on inspiration), but I subscribed to your channel because I wanted to follow along with your lessons and I have continually become fascinated by the information you put out, including, but not limited to, on podcasts like Book of Mormon Evidence (That's what I think it is, at least. Whatever it is, it's the one with Rod Meldrum, I think his name is). There is so much to unpack in everything you say. I even told my family about what you're doing. Not only Alma but His son Alma I see it's a continuous process for one prophet after the next to continue the upbuilding Just like we are in the following process of further prophets down to Prophet Russell M.Nelson We must continue with following our prophets and listening and following them. For our very own future existence depends upon following Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son Jesus Christ and Hear The Holy Ghost and following what he wants us to do. So many people just don't understand how or why we believe in seeing angels having visions Prayers for hours Prayers anyplace. I am so thankful for each aspect of our Church. The Church of of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints! And each General Conference I love going over the Talks and special quotes 💕 I read and share with others and in my group. The Book of Mormon tells the stories of two peoples that no longer exist. Isaiah paints no flattering picture. I think we have a very bumpy road ahead.

Great analogies. I have been thinking about who captain Moroni might be in our day. I thought Joseph McCarthy might be like captain Moroni because he stood up to so many political enemies like Moroni & demanded people to choose their allegiances. He died relatively young & maybe wasn't as successful as Moroni, but he definitely had the courage & foresight that seemed to be correct even though it didn't seem popular.

Seems like there are a lot of parallels with different characters with JS jr being represented by Abinadi and Alma as you've pointed out. I've also seen Nephi as a type as well as Zeniff. I like your diagram of parallels between the BoM and our day, but there are a lot exclusion because it is presented as if chronological is the only way to interpret things. Isaiah is a good example of how he writes in small cycles that start and restart giving different details that form a picture as we put all the similar pieces together. Starting in Mosiah 9. V1. I, Zeniff (Joseph Smith Jr) having been taught in all the language of the Nephites (translated Book of Mormon), and having had a knowledge of the land of Nephi, or of the land of our fathers’ first inheritance V3. “I being over-zealous to inherit the land (of Zion, Jackson County, Missouri) of our fathers (Adam-ondi-Ahman), collected as many as were desirous to go up to possess the land, and started again on our journey into the wilderness to go up to the land; but we were smitten with famine and sore afflictions V5. “I went again with four of my men into the city, in unto the king (governor of Missouri), that I might know of the disposition of the king (governor), and that I might know if I might go in with my people and possess the land in peace.” V6-9. “he covenanted with me that I might possess the land of Lehi-Nephi, and the land of Shilom. And he also commanded that his people should depart out of the land, and I and my people went into the land that we might possess it. And we began to build buildings…And we began to till the ground V11. “king Laman (governor) began to grow uneasy, lest by any means my people (mormons) should wax strong (gain political strength) in the land, and that they (Missourians) could not overpower them (the mormons) and bring them into bondage.” V13. “king Laman began to stir up his people that they should contend with my people; therefore there began to be wars and contentions in the land (persecution of the saints in Missouri).” V14. “numerous host of Lamanites (Missourians) came upon them (the mormons) and began to slay them, and to take off their flocks, and the corn of their fields. V15. “it came to pass that they (the mormons) fled, all that were not overtaken, even into the city of Nephi, and did call upon me (Joseph Smith) for protection. V15. “I and my people did go forth against the Lamanites to battle (Zion’s camp)”.
