Remember the fuss people made when the church announced they were going to renovate the Manti temple and take out the murals? Well taking out the murals would have been the only way to make renovations to become ADA compliant. When the church reversed their decision they announced the Ephraim temple less than 10 miles away. The church is using a ADA compliance provision. If you have a historical building it can be left non-ADA compliant if you have a building of similar use within 10 miles. That's why the Ephraim temple was announced, so they could work within those guidelines and still preserve it. I don't know what the laws are in Ohio, but I could see something similar with the Kirtland temple if another temple is announced nearby.

I work in the Church Office Building. All the buildings used for the administration of the Church are dedicated. Broadcasting and Events is a department. It includes the Motion Picture Studio, the Goshen site, the Conference Center, the Tabernacle, and any off-site recording (video). The law (General Conference) already goes out from "Broadcasting." Friend to Friend, BYU broadcasts, broadcasts for Young Single Adults, the Youth, etc.

Here’s a thought. If the plans for the 3 temples are still to come to pass, maybe the 3rd temple building, the one for the printing of the translations of scripture, will be for translating the coming scriptures that Elder Holland is preparing us to receive in his most recent Facebook post! So exciting!

We were at the Kirtland Temple last summer,(2023) but did not have an opportunity to go in. I walked up and touched the foundation stones, and had the distinct impression that the original temple blessings were still in place, and that the building was waiting to fulfill its divine destiny. It was with joy I learned this year of the Church's purchase of this historic building, so reverenced by so many people.

I've always been adamantly against home schooling, but crazy enough we had these pretty distinct impressions to start homeschooling--so this year was our first year (with seven kids...yeah...). It's crazy how many people we know who have been receiving similar impressions. We've had a LOT of impressions that this is part of the transition to a Millennial society. I'm nearly positive schooling and learning will be very different than it is now.

Welcome to homeschooling :) I and my six siblings were always homeschooled, and I had a friend several years ago asking how on earth the church could do the self-reliance classes or the BYU pathway program or other programs as envisioned by the church, as she couldn't conceive of learning happening in any other way than in a school building or at desks in classrooms. I told her "very easily," as my own education was always rather like an extension of family home evening settings, which we always did also, and to me that has always seemed like how the Lord envisions education of children or others happening...I'm sure the church leaders are aware, more than the membership is aware that they are aware, that we have to have families doing family home evening more consistently...ok, and now Pres. Nelson's era just uses the phrase "making the home the center of gospel learning" and relative to Come, Follow Me/family scripture study/time on the Sabbath specifically spent discussing knowledge and information at home, to try to cast the vision for everyone about how to do this--and how the membership is or isn't generally following counsel and holding family home evening or using Come, Follow Me.

If you have been in the Church Administration Building, or Joseph Smith Building, etc., it does have that sacred feeling as if you were in a temple. Maybe not quite as sacred, but still a spiritual and holy place...a "temple" as it were.

I agree with you Jared on the kirland temple. I don't belueve the church purchased the Kirkland temple just for historical benefits. It’s very interesting that the church office building downtown is 28 story high and then when you add like contemplate a lobby and then you contemplate like maintenance and the balconies I wonder if it’s almost the same thing except for the we had the technology to build up instead of take up a whole block I’d be really curious to know if there was a dedicatory prayer for that building

In the millennium, would not all buildings and homes and administrative structures be considered temples as Christ is the center of it all, and all learning and service is consecrated to the Lord? Today it’s all due to government and Nimrods, tomorrow it will finally be of Christ’s.

So many temples announced in recent years... To help the work go forward We need to be faithful in paying our tithing and our fast offerings. We as members also need to pray for the temples in the announced areas that they might have any opposition removed, and a spirit of peace prevade, and that the temples will be built quickly. We can do much through prayer, service, and donating rather than just "waiting" for the temples to be built. And most importantly we need to attend the temples and strive to fully live up to the covenants that we make in those temples. Then will the blessings of "great power and glory" be poured out upon the Saints and the Temples will fulfill their purpose.

I think you are right. Temple Square is getting its restoration and in 2036 Salt Lake will host every nation of the world for the Olympics. If destruction does come, or many new cities are to be established, Salt Lake is patterned after the original temple square and could set a standard for all new cities or capitals.

I’d be curious the kirtland temple compared to the 2nd temple. BYU’s 3d thing, and your previous videos talked about the second you walked into the temple, there is an entry area and then a hallway to the right that leads to stairs that lead upwards. One of your pics of the kirtland temple showed this. Before you can go to To the main hall, you can go right to this staircase… just curious. I know dimensions of this temple are based off soloman’s I believe. Same with hopewell mounds too but I digress haha

During the millennium, I suspect the teaching and administration of the world will be done through something like internet, but will likely be via urims and thummims, the stone who those will receive. This is what they were often used for by Joseph Smith, as tools of instructing, and viewing, and seeing.

Three buildings? Sounds just like the current setup at a lot of the smaller temples today. The temple itself. The resident building for the temple presidency and a stake center. Usually all in a line. Kinda cool that was revealed way back then before they realized the need for a huge stake center right next to a temple.

Maybe a weird sidenote...I had a weird thought one recent morning. How do you think business and money, etc. will work. After the destruction of the wicked, there has to be some type of new world order, right? I can't imagine any government still existing with no wicked people left. So, what would that look like? It hit me, if we truly ARE living a more complete law of consecration. Couldn't we just do without money AT ALL. Just, no money. We will still have businesses and products, but if there's NO money, could it still work? An electrician or plumber that will come and help fix something still needs to provide for their family. That's why today he needs to get paid. But if he's able to get food provided by farmers and local markets without paying, he doesn't need to charge you. But the markets and farmers need to provide for their families, but similarly, can obtain all that they need without money. If we get rid of ALL of it, then everyone just provides everyone everything we need. It seems like the epitome of consecration. Am I missing something?

That's about what I feel. Pres. Eyring too has mentioned multiple times in his ministry that children are born to parents where they would or could learn from their parents in their home growing up the particular skills they would need to carry out their work during their working lives too--he says he could have taken more advantage growing up of his parents speaking foreign languages, which when he grew up he learned would have been helpful for his future as helping run a growing worldwide church...but neither he nor perhaps his parents specifically thought a whole ton about specifically what his future would hold. In a similar way, I see more and more how I was born into a family where all parents and grandparents have been in the world if teaching and all my siblings and I, while being trained growing up to do anything we might be called to do in the church as far as we could manage to envision and so on, definitely it was all assuming our teaching careers, as it were, would continue into our generation, although we have also done many things for jobs and callings...and I hear sometimes from people who say they couldn't imagine being teachers and they definitely spend all their lives looking at everything from a different angle...anyway, certain gifts and responsibilities also come from the assigned tribe of Israel a person is part of, and we know that is assigned by the Lord and partly through how He arranges a person to be born in a particular family; but I think as we learn to take advantage of the gifts we are blessed with, whatever they are, and the position we take on faith that God put us in relative to family and community, there will be a place for everyone to just wake up every day and give their best effort, and it will be that "the laborer is worthy of his hire," and the economy will work fine, because we will all be invested in their being no poor among us.

As far as learning in the family, yes; but also, we each are supposed to be worthy of the temple because, as the scriptures teach in all dispensations, the Saints should individually be taught from on high. How did Abraham get his astronomy lessons? Straight from the Lord according to his worthiness. The theme of Primary has always been "all thy children shall be taught of the Lord," and general church leaders always bring back up again every little while how the pattern, if we would learn from it, is, as mentioned in 3 Nephi 17 and 26 etc., that in the ideal, righteous society, the Lord teaches children as directly as He did the Nephite children. Primary now tries to prepare children, whether their own parents are members or active or not, to be looking forward to and prepared for the temple as soon as they are 11. This is more literal than many of us usually remember. The fact that Ether specifically mentions that the children and grandchildren of the Jaredites in the first generation in the promised land were taught from on high is meant to communicate to us what the expectation and ability is and could be: Grandpa Mahonri Moriancumer was speaking to Jesus face to face on a mountain before they even arrived in the promised land, and it was supposed to continue from there. Ether himself at the end of the civilization was telling the people things like this, and about how similar the New Jerusalem would be, and they didn't see it (couldn't envision it, no one in their society was literally doing it as far as they knew) so they wouldn't believe. From the time Jesus commanded building the temple in Kirtland in this dispensation, and teaching Joseph Smith about the priesthood power and covenants and offices and daily activities of a Zion society and how Moses' people rejected the Melchizedek priesthood and what it would entail in every detail, the Lord has intended that we, at home and in the temple, be taught by heavenly beings, face to face, including Him. Pres. Oaks' talk quoting Christ's words and Elder Bednar's talks and other messages by general authorities especially in the last few years are pleading with us as literally as they can word it, for those willing to hear and obey, that we would open the door for Christ to come in and teach us Himself, like He taught the scriptures about Himself, with His own voice, to the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and like He did as He explained everything to the Nephites in 3 Nephi. We can and should and will have the same. Pres. Nelson's most recent conference talk was inviting us to do again also; he is the same as Moses, always and only since day one as president, urging us to be taught personally from on high, not just meaning about heavenly things, or the heavenly way of doing things, but by heavenly people.

Isa 61; 4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins, raise up the old waste places they will renew the desolate cities demolished generations ago. 5 Aliens will tend and pasture your flocks; foreigners will be your farmhands and vinedressers. 6 But you shall be called the priests of Jehovah and referred to as the ministers of our God. You shall feed on the wealth of the nations and be gratified with their choicest provision. 6 But you shall be called the priests of Jehovah and referred to as the ministers of our God. You shall feed on the wealth of the nations and be gratified with their choicest provision. I found this in my study of Isaiah. i'm assuming aliens &/or foreigners may be people who are righteous yet don't want the covenantal relationship with God like we desire.

I have looked at these plans extensively and I see no places for any Burger Kings, Cracker Barrels or Popeye's Fried Chicken. I mean, how do we accept these things as revelation when we have none of these things for basic sustenance? What are we supposed to do? Eat bee pollen? This isn't the Grand Canyon, fer heaven's sake! Are you sure there are no sections labeled “B.K.,” “C.B.” or “P.C.” on your list? I mean, don't want to have to resort to common consent here, but let's be real! I'm getting queasy just thinking about it! Since this will be in the Millennium, we won't have any Mc Donald’s, but they will be changed to Burger Kings in the twinkling of an eye. ...

This leaves all individual homes with their garden space within the city with easy access to the temples (24 of them) complex. This drawing is easily accessible in the Joseph Smith Papers.
