I always considered a busybody as someone who pokes their nose into everybody else's business. Somehow from the time I was a small child, I felt it was my job to try to keep everyone happy. So I minded other people's business for them. I retired from my nursing career just before the COVID shutdown happened. At first, I was so frustrated because I couldn't start a new private business I had planned. But having quiet time at home was a gift. I was able to relax more deeply, which increased my sensitivity to the Spirit.

Grace, I’ve begun praying the way you describe when I’m fasting. Every time I feel a pant of hunger it reminds me of the reason for my fast and to talk to Heavenly Father about it.

I love you both! Grace, thank you so much for sharing about how you prayed “without ceasing” What a great way to have our prayers be a “living discussion” with God.

This lesson was so good, but the last line about the Savior and who He is…it has given me a lot to think about…”who will bring peace by any means He can-who is on the way”. I love thinking that Jesus is on His way and I need to be looking as Nancy was and prepared to meet him. Thank y’all for all you do! ❤

I love relatable stories like the one Grace told about having a hard time “getting into the habit of daily prayer”. Thank you for sharing. I might try your technique. I feel like I always have a prayer in my heart, but not very often in my thoughts.

38:13 Saint, holy, and sanctify can all be replaced with consecrated. Consecration speaks of the every day. It does not ask a mistake free life (how we usually view the word holy) but a dedication to serve the Lord in our ordinary moments even in our flawed, messed up state.

I've wondered the same thing. @austnap in the 2021 handbook we're encouraged to use the kjv at church for consistency. But that we can use other versions for personal and academic study. Several general authorities have quoted from other versions in general conf. John Hilton has a video on this topic that I found helpful.

Regarding 2 Thessalonians 2. Verses 8-10 say, "And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved". This lawless one is probably the false prophet who comes with lying signs and wonders to deceive the people. Jesus casts both the beast and false prophet into the lake of fire at the Second Coming. "It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived" (Revelation 13:13-14). "And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image" (Revelation 19:20).
