I no longer shake my head, roll my eyes, or give my son-in-law any guff for his LOVE of gift giving. He can't help himself. I am giving him a "want list" so maybe that will help this year. (candle, lotion, stuff that doesn't clutter as much) And yes... I'll be doing gifts of service for him as that is MY love language and I love him to pieces! We are all different aren't we! And we have to respect each other's hearts!

Oh Diana! Find peace within yourself to gift Dawn a lunch or mani with you. Take her out and share a meal or an activity and find the joy in gifting just that moment. It will take practice, but you will get comfortable speaking her love language!!

I can't pretend that I know either of you, but I am a long time subscriber so it seems Dawn would prefer a consumable item, maybe a garden seeds basket or a manicure or mittens/scarf set. What about gourmet coffee & creamer basket - no mug? A year subscription to craftsy or Walmart pick up or Amazon prime. Netflix, etc? What about a personal care basket, items she already uses or a scrumptious bundt cake - already made? A donation on her behalf...a small well ornament & a donation to Mexico organization for the well being built? Good walking shoes? Something she can use while working on the properties going on the land they bought (yep, watching rusty judgement too)(think interior design) FYI I spent 2 hours talking to a stranger after she confessed to me she was sort of a hoarder. She was buying what I was decluttering. She suffered loses & started spending. We laughed together, cried together, hugged & she has resolved to watch minimal mom so she can begin her declutter journey & to watch Diana, even though she does not walk by faith! I'd say God is at work...all the time & I sincerely appreciate both of you. I surprised myself with what I was able to share with her, more surprised that she stayed on my porch that long & actually received it! I feel filled up for sure Blessings Ladies

In Germany we "celebrate" the *three Magi/Wise Ones* in January, as kind of end of Christmas season. ☆ Children from Catholic Church go from door to door, bless the houses and sing for the people. People (most times) give (donate) money which gets collected from all over the country and donated to projects of children in need all over the world. ♡ They are called "Sternsinger", which translates as star-singer. (Referring to the star that led the 3 Kings to Baby Jesus.) ☆ The Sternsinger donation project is the biggest charity project *from children for/to children* worldwide. ♡

My granddaughter has the gift of giving. You wouldn't think you could recognize it in one so young, (she's 6.) But when we go shopping together, she's constantly finding things for her mom, her dad, her siblings...I love it. Enjoy the fact that you love one another and think of each other so often. ❤️❤️

I find it interesting how blended the love languages can be. My love languages are acts of service and quality time. But I love to give gifts like Diana. I get if from my mama. I love to give people things they will use or enjoy. This year I'm learning it is okay if that gift isn't an actual item.

Never give up hope!In fact, trust that the Lord will draw her to Himself. My grandmother didn't live to see the salvation of her grandchildren, BUT her prayers for their salvation is still ringing in God's ears long after she passed. The same applies for our prayers for our children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. I often thank the Lord that He is working in their lives to bring them to Him... whether I see it or not. Our youngest daughter who is 52 years old accepted Christ a few months ago.
