The first Eagle to stand up to Glenn Frey was co-founder Bernie Leadon, who left Eagles in1975 after pouring a beer on Glenn’s head. Early on when the Eagles were performing at concerts, there was a bit of tussling between Glenn and Bernie for domination - the concert at Voorburg (1973) shows Glenn talking over Bernie while Bernie was introducing the next song (Glenn trying to establish himself as the “front man”) and Bernie bullying back using his superior height, leaning over Glenn and singing full-on into Glenn’s face!!

I agree, altho reluctantly cuz of the way that The Egoes (Frey and Henley) treated Randy - but no doubt about it, Frey was a great arranger, and this song could have been another great Eagles hit. But I like this song more every time I hear it - it’s just that cheesy intro that doesn’t set the scene for such a sad song..

One of the most under-rated Musicians of our time. From Poco, to Eagles, solo/studio session Bassist,, back to Poco again. The “You Tube” mini-tribute shows perfectly, how a sensitive Man can be hurt, from a cut-throat business. Even though in retirement , his mark and Music has helped shape the L.A. Western California Folk/Rock sound. Randy career stands strong for itself. His beautiful , sweet voice continues to play on a sound system, and speaks to a whole generation. Miss you Randy, your Music is still studied by Hungary & inspired Musicians around the Country. Your contribution of sensitive, emotional ballades &a full tilt rocker’s, finally had you recognized as a “Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame” , as one of the pioneers of the California Folk Rock scene. I wish you peace and a great career to reflect on. You made it Randy,! Andrew Williams - North West, Arkansas.
