As someone who used to avidly watch The Partridge Family on black and white TV here in Dunedin, New Zealand in the early 1970's, I loved this movie for the joy it brought me, not to mention the excellent soundtrack. Although I was always more of a Donny Osmond girl, RIP David Cassidy and thanks for the memories.

By accident I stumbled on this. Really interesting to watch what happened behind the scenes of the legendary TV show. I didn't know about Danny's privat difficulties. Seventies atmosphere is well captured. Good casting too.

I like Dannie’s father. He’s a real father trying really hard even while being humiliated. Feel sad for him, he is a good one IMO. Makes me wonder what he was like in real life. It is impossible to trust dramatisations. He shouldn’t drink if it’s a problem and needs apologise.
