Hello everyone! Thanks for tuning in. 🥰 I will be doing a video on Wednesday every other week instead of two each week just so I can have more time for my hobbies and social life. 🌷 It’s time for me to slow down a little and take my own advice to focus on homemaking and traditional living! So thank you for tuning in to our first Wednesday video of many more to come! 🤗 Also, don’t forget to see the description to check out today’s sponsor! 💓

Mrs Midwest I really appreciate the way you’re changing your posting schedule without fuss or lengthy explanations! It always bugs me a little when KZbinrs do that and weighs me down as a viewer because then I feel I’ve somehow become a burden for subscribing and stressing out the KZbinr 😆 this way is much preferred as I know it’s what’s best for your channel and you as you continue to create the best quality content you can!

If you're into sewing, ask your thrift store owner/manager if you can check out the "refused clothing" pile, or go dumpster diving. It's a great way to get free textiles.

Never feel guilty. You're doing the most important job on Earth which is raising the next generation. I'm sure you're a lovely mum and never forget you DO have an impact/value in this world. This is coming from a very academic/career oriented woman lol. I do plan on having a family soon and working part time when I get the chance though. Being a homemaker is inspiring and i love that lifestyle!

I don't plan on pursuing the homemaker lifestyle any time soon but my mother was a homemaker and I thank God everyday that she helped develop the woman I am today. Do not ever feel bad for choosing a homemaker lifestyle. There are some women who work like mules for cooperate America and wish everyday that they could quit or work part time so that they could spend more time with close friends and family (especially their children). You're doing an honor and will be a blessing to the family you raise. Please be mindful of the people you keep in your circle. Keep like minded individuals around you. I learned this the hard way and had to cut off a lot of people who were not meant to be in my life anymore. My life is now a lot less stressful and hectic because I did what was best for me. Sending you hugs and wishing you luck❤.

I was reading your last blog post and I came up with an idea, you don't have to sacrifice slow living for videos or vice versa, you could make easygoing no stress vlogs about slow living, just having a camera in the background, if you want. So you don't have to jam pack the day. I think a lot of us love and appreciate slow living as well.

I agree! Plz make a vid on this Caitlin! My personal advice for birthday or Xmas gift shopping at thrift stores is to plan ahead, like WAY ahead, because often, thrift stores do switch out their items that are more seasonal. So for instance, if someone you are buying for has a thing for Hawaiian shirts, it’s gonna be tougher to find that item in a lot of thrift stores after September or so! Anytime I see something at a store or online I think someone I love would enjoy, I make a little list of present ideas in my phone, and refer to it/ revise throughout the year. Then, each time you thrift you can consult your list and sorta keep an eye out for those potential items, getting the best deals on stuff! The best part about a thrifted gift is that even though it can’t be returned, it CAN be re-donated if they don’t like it that much, and the gift-giver is only out a very small amount of money typically!

So fun! I do budget for shopping, but I need to do more thrifting. There aren’t places very close to me, and they are not as cheap as in the US! But I should still check. And I think that point in shopping where you’re just tired and don’t care is universal! I run a home decor blog so do a lot of home and housewares type shopping, and I usually pile it all into one day. And I totally reach that late afternoon point where I am OVER it 😂
