I was so happy when you said "London needs a place like this!" As I am currently working towards a project of opening a concept yarn store/ cafe! ☺️ I have loads of ideas for the place and I’m trying to figure out its potential and if people would be interested in having a place like that in London. I’d love to hear you opinion (and of other knitters here ☺️).

I think you´re absolutely right pairing the sysleriget mohair with some offwhite merino and the merino with some offwhite mohair.

Lovely video visiting so many yarn stores in Copenhagen! For the handdyed yarn that you purchased (it's so pretty!), my take would be to knit up the merino and mohair in different projects (holding white or cream yarns together), as the yarns may clash in the same project. However, like what you said, I think its better to make swatches and decide whats best for you! As for the sophie scarf, yes you can make a longer one now since you have much more yarn than the pattern requests. I think it is stated in the pattern, but you can measure how much yarn you used up to the halfway mark, as you'll use the same amount of yarn when decreasing. And I think you can find Filcolana in Knitt store in the UK (that is around an hour away from London if I remember correctly). Excited to see what you'll knit up!

Thank you for sharing your amazing and wonderful visit to Copenhagen. Personally I would pair the hand dyed yarns with a white or pale neutral shade. I think this would allow the hand dyed yarns to shine. Also, you’d get to make 2 garments to remind you of your time in Copenhagen. Happy knitting.

Enjoyed this as someones whos new to crochet so learning all about yarn and the types there are! As a heads up we have sostene greene in the uk, theres on on Tottenham court road and several others, cna check on their site! I love going in there to just mooch as its so chill in there but now get to look at wool as well!

I would knit up the matching hand dyed merino and mohair together! Since you will be holding them together that will already minimize any differences between skeins!

What an interesting video. I sent my son to Sommerflugen to get me some KFO Heavy Merino before it was available in the UK. I would recommend buying KFO directly from them as it’s so much cheaper than buying from a UK supplier and the colour choice better. It’s free delivery with your first purchase and less than £5 - if I remember correctly - thereafter. I’m currently knitting the Monday Sweater and hoping I don’t run out of yarn. I agree to split the beautiful hand dyed yarn and hold with white.
