I hate the fact that zoos, pedos and other degenerates decided to appropiate the Greek alphabet to reffer to their paraphilia. The Greek letter μ (called mu) is the equivalent of the "m" and they use it for MAP. For zoo they use this other letter, ζ, which is zeta, the Greek "z" and ξ (xi, pronounced as the "x" in fox) for zoos4dism. I'm not Greek, I just know the letters because of my subject of study, but I would be mortifyed to know someone out there used three letters of my own name to reffer to three different sicknesses.

@@vexedlex8230 And you had to show your lack of empathy. You are ok with what is the book definition of cultural appropiation only because it didn't happen to the alphabet you are used to use. You know? Letters build words, and words with some rules and people who choose to communicate that way create a language, which is a very important element from the culture it belongs to. Some words only exist in one language, because what they decide it should be a word, depends on their culture and how it makes them see the world. Using them in a way like this is stigmatizing and just sick. TL;DR: Alphabets are part of the cultures since they are a graphic representation of the languages written in those and not an object to use to define sick ways to enter in the Sex Offender Registry.
@vexedlex8230 Жыл бұрын
@@marbelrod9001 I don't know what you're talking about. My only point was that no matter what letters they used, they're gonna be letters that were created by a culture. So whether they used Latin letters (like you and I are using in this exchange), Cyrillic letters, Greek letters, or Egyptian hieroglyphs, I don't see one as any different to the others. As for your last point, the Greeks have been aware of, and have their own terms for this kind of stuff. Look at some Greek myths, you'll find stories of humans screwing birds, cows and one time, even a bull. The woman even got pregnant with a baby that had a human's body and a bull's head and it could only sustain itself on the blood of humans. It had to be trapped in a maze in the centre of the city of Minos, and was known as the Bull of Minos. Or in Greek, the Minotaur. I mean, heck, the word zoophilia is Greek in the first place. So is encyclopaedia and a bunch of other words we use. I guess, my point is, given all the _genuinely_ objectionable things these people do, I don't understand your specific gripe with letters... I mean, it feels like we're all pointing and jeering at a man who killed his wife with a shovel, but your problem is with the brand of shovel he used. 30:37 Also even if animals *were* of the same intellectual capacity as us, being sexually mature would not necessarily equate to being a consenting adult! Female cats can get pregnant at just four months old- at which point they're still considered kittens! In terms of development, at that age they are equivalent to a human ten-year-old. Hell, even humans can be considered "sexually mature" far earlier than they are actually *mentally* ready to be able to consent to sex- the youngest person ever to give birth was *five years old*. Sexual maturity is pretty meaningless as a marker for whether or not something is predatory in nature.
@gregjayonnaise8314 Жыл бұрын
Not to mention that plenty of girls get their period as early as nine years old, meaning they have the ability to get pregnant. The biggest issue is that just because a person is physically capable of doing something doesn’t mean they are ready to do it, or that it won’t be harmful to them. But other things are considered paraphilias that people may only want to stop because of the social consequences or they don't try to stop at all. The current model highlights the distress these things cause but I don't know that means they are intrusive thoughts or things they enjoy but don't act on because they'll get caught or things they act on and try not to get caught. Kind of adding to the dangers of sexually abusing animals, in 1960 there was a NASA project to teach a dolphin to speak English. The issue was the dolphin got distracted by it's arosal, so they were like "Hey, let's take care of this so we can get back to work" and the manually stimulated the dolphin. As much as the researcher Margaret refused to acknowledge it, her study was botched. Peter wasn't really learning so much as HE was training the humans to give him what he wanted. And Margaret, god her recounting the experience is gross and she is very delusional, would not listen to anyone around her that this wasn't working, this was probably a bad idea from the beginning, and hey is this ethically right? Eventually the program wasn't meeting results and it fell through. The dolphin, Peter, no longer stimulated ended up committing suicide. That would have never happened if they had actually cared about what was best for Peter. And they didn't because they also gave him LSD to see if that would help with the training.

Something I want to note that Sappho brings up multiple times, along with many other zoophiles, that you can't compare a fully sexually mature dog to a human child. Yes, you can Sappho. Human women sexually mature around the ages 8 to 12, give or take depending on the girl. Technically, this girl is "sexually mature" and may even have sexual urges but that doesn't mean you have to right to impregnate her just because her body can get pregnant. It's the same with animals. Just because they have the ability to have sexual urges, doesn't mean they're sexually mature or even able to consent. Consent is a combination of intellect, sexual maturity, accountability and responsibility and even if someone has all four they could still be unable to consent in a given situation. This is such a simple concept and so many zoophiles can't seem to get it through their noggins omg Edit: And this doesn't even take into account hypersexuality in children, which can occur as early as three years old

The argument about financial abuse was especially enlightening. I've never encountered that one before but it's not only absolutely true, it also turns animals into another parallel for children. The only *humans* for whom we ever accept financial dependence as something sensible and good are children. Pretty much all reasons for why that is true also apply to animals. Our care and protection can only be that if we fully consider these beings as our wards who do not have the capacity to make decisions as well as we do. Which can not be true at the same time as believing that they can meaningfully consent. Of course there is a slight allowance there. A child can absolutely consent to wearing the princess dress to Kindergarten today or having spaghetti to lunch. Just like my cats make it very clear to me which catfood flavors they like best. But that's on a whole other level.

Lol, I was trying to specifically stick to anthropomorphized animal characters. The Beast, being a… well… *beast* is an anthropomorphized collection of various animal traits on a human-esque body, and is overall probably closer to “furry” territory, so he wouldn’t have fit with the necessary examples. There were plenty of furry characters people provided as examples that I couldn’t use *because* they were furries and therefore had way more human influence in their designs. This is why, after going over the animal examples, I said that if you open the doors to furries, the pool of crush-worthy characters expands near exponentially.

When I was in high school, I took a number of animal psych courses at my city’s zoo, one of the top ranked in the world. While taking these classes, I discovered the author Frans de Waal, who writes primarily about animal psychology and their relationships with humans. One of his books, _Are We Smart Enough to Know How Smart Animals Are?,_ covers the human propensity to project emotions on to our animal companions. It’s a fascinating read, with one of the main points being that our projection can be a detriment to our relationships with animals, and boy doesn’t that sound _fucking familiar?_
@thegoatcarnival Жыл бұрын
While I’m here, I’m very close with my cat Bently. I’ll sometimes wake up with his back pressed against my chest, and if I roll over, he doesn’t run off. Based on his behavior, and not on what I want to believe, I can say that he associates my company with comfort. Nothing more. Animal behavior can and should _only_ be analyzed through facts. _Factually,_ Bently is a healthy male cat who is surprisingly active for his age. Based on how he hissed and growls at our dogs, I can determine that he has a negative opinion towards them (and with the fact that one of them is a smothering golden retriever, I don’t really blame him). He’s more likely to eat chicken than other meats. Does that mean chicken is his favorite? Perhaps. He’ll sit on the lap of anyone who sits in the recliner in our living room, not just mine, but he’ll only sit in someone’s lap if they’re leaning back. Every observation listed above is based on surface level behavior. I try my best to avoid projecting emotions onto my cat, but I do sometimes let it slip that I think I’m his favorite. All that said, no one should EVER read further than the surface level of what an animal thinks of you. I’ve gone too far in some instances where I thought an animal liked me, and been bitten or scratched for it. This is typically why you ask strangers if you can pet their animal.

@deltalunaris Жыл бұрын
@@pyromaniacforhire Absolutely agreed. I know people feel strongly about these types, which is very understandable. I do too. But as mentioned in the video, some of these people are suffering from actual medical conditions like psychosis, etc. And, as you mentioned, they need serious treatment, rather than an echo chamber that boosts them into criminal behavior. It's easy to dehumanize, but we have to show them that we will accept them back into our ranks if they successfully dedicate themselves to getting the help they sorely need. Unfortunately, I couldn't do that with the dog breeder, since they were 1) far too gone with their medical skepticism, and 2) our interaction was over the internet. However, I've helped a long-time pal who confessed a year ago (to me & only me) that they were terrified of becoming a MAP because of 'the thoughts getting worse.' Turned out they were suffering from serious childhood trauma that they only remembered through trauma therapy (specifically EDMR, CBT only made things worse weirdly enough). The 'attraction' was their brain's way of saying 'hey, this is what happened to us, please believe me! I can't show you what actually happened because it was horrific, and we're not ready to face that!' It's not to say that all MAPs come from traumatic backgrounds of course, but it goes to show there may be lifechanging, treatable solutions for them nonetheless. Same goes for zoos. If anybody who *is* a MAP/zoo happens to be reading these comments: Please know that there is hope. It may seem like your attraction makes sense, if not 'justified', but that's what the trick is all about. You're distressed for a reason, and it's not because you're 'struggling to come to terms with what you really are.' Yes, you will have to accept that this is a part of you. But you can heal from it, just like many others have. Many mental health professionals are willing to help without hesitation, because they recognize it's clinical rather than a self-fulfilling magical curse. As long as you're willing to put down the bottle, you can be liberated from going down a path that will never end well. If these services are out of your reach, there are more and more free self-help resources by the day. So long as you have internet, you have the ability- if not the responsibility- to seek these out. It's never too late to make a better tomorrow, for yourself and all those who would be affected by your actions.

That said, we do wish many mental conditions weren't stigmatized as being just one way all the time (we have gone through 3 professionals so far just from Mentioning our system; "out of their wheelhouse" basically). For example, every other DID System we've met has been different from not only ours, but others as well. Sure, there ARE some shared traits, but not 100% down to the marrow. Sorry for piling all of that on you....

Your every dog has a different personality is spot on. My family had a miniature Pomeranian who loved cuddles, wasn’t into toys and would bark his head off at new people. After he passed away, we got the same breed and gender and this dog is hyper, loves toys, not much of a cuddler and doesn’t bark at new people. I don’t understand how people think all dogs are the same!

Yes! I’ve come to learn this from hanging out with friends/family dogs for either during party events or dog sitting and I learn how different they all are personality wise. My old boy (the dog on my profile) was a cranky independent yet very protective beautiful boy who didn’t enjoy cuddles or affection as much but he always came to comfort you when you were upset. My current dog is more people oriented and extroverted plus extremely clingy and codependent. He loves cuddles and often loves to lay into you (even if it hurts) he just wants cuddles all the time and he follows you around like an extra shadow. His mum was also like him, very cuddly and yet she had a calmness about her in some way too. All dogs have such unique personalities and it’s beautiful!

Zoophiles don’t actually care about the animal. It’s all about their sexual experience and it’s a very selfish harmful thing to the animal. They try and act as if they care about the animal’s “true feelings” but really just use it as an excuse to act out their paraphilia.
@zhawkmoth3653 Жыл бұрын
Also, thank you for going in-depth about paraphilias. It's so damn frustrating as a person who has done a lot of research regarding the topic of human sexuality to see so many idiots compare a paraphilia with orientation. Paraphilias can become chronic, I also believe that certain people can be born more prone to having them, so there is an innate and non-social component that exists there.. but it's NOT AN ORIENTATION! People seem to have this idea that if a component of sexuality cannot be changed, or if a part of it is innate, it qualifies as an orientation which is not true!
@zhawkmoth3653 Жыл бұрын
You will also notice that males are more prone to paraphilias than females are, but females tend to more likely be bisexual/attracted to the same sex. When you look at Paedos and Zoos, you will notice the majority are natal male, which lines up with tendency for paraphilias. If zoophilia was an orientation, you'd think males and females would be more equally distributed. They are not.

I think it's crucial to realize that intrusive thoughts are far more common than people like to admit. When I had a baby, I was warned that the physical and mental stress, hormonal changes, and lack of sleep can do stuff to your brain. And that there's a difference between a thought and an urge. I feel like we all missed out on some crucial lessons on mental hygiene. The more shame we feel about thoughts, the more persistent they often are, and the more we get convinced that there's something real behind those thoughts, rather than our brains being weird for a moment. We don't kick ourselves over having weird dreams, usually.

the core of even talking about consent re: animals is immediately complicated by the fact that humans have a concept of culture and social expectation. it isnt pretty to think about, but the animal kingdom is not exactly rife with romanticism. a lot of the sex animals engage in is explicitly not pleasurable and at best merely a function of the drive to breed. you cannot map ANY human concepts, like partnership or consent, to a dog. pets are great! they have responses to us that we see as affection, they bond with us, they produce chemicals we associate with love...but we can never say a dog loves a human the way a human loves another human. which is fine! but it means that even if a dog sincerely "wants" to have sex with its owner, which yes, many dogs (and other animals) do, that doesnt mean the same thing to them that it would in a human relationship. it is not consent because consent requires a theory of mind and a social contract. its like...a human can never be a fish even if it swims well and uses an air tank, because that which defines a fish is not participation in the behavior alone but an innate aspect of the creature doing those things.
@DefinedVines Жыл бұрын
@@Saibellus yes indeed!!! it's been a while since i made this comment here wow, but i would change one thing about my phrasing: it's not that animals' intelligence is "too low", it's that as completely different species with very different brain makeup, and the lack of intense social culture and customs that humans have developed, there is simply no way for an animal to consent to human sex... even if "the animal approached me/it seems like they're enjoying it/aren't getting physically hurt" or something like that, they wouldn't understand the implications, and as a person with a much more highly developed understanding of the situation it should be ON YOU to just... not do that with the animal?? it's really not that deep and zoophiles truly cope extremely hard on their heavily flawed excuses to attempt to justify doing what they do

Just acting horny isn't enough to determine that it's okay to have sex with someone. Many times it's used because it's safer and less forceful than the normal mating of the animal (eg bulls can injure cows) or using sperm from across the country in order to breed for specific genes. It's not painful or horrible for the animal as it's typically only done when the animal is in heat anyway and measures are taken to make sure the animal is, for a lack of wording, 'in the mood' (eg sitting on a pigs back to replicate the weight a boar would have). this is just to make the animal as comfortable as possible during what's usually a very quick proceedure - which is a LOT more than i can say what a lot of zoos do :/ half of them dont nearly have as much care for the animal

You're attracted to the human characteristics in the animal, not the animal itself. Makes sense. When I was a kid, I had a huge crush on Nala from the Lion King. Did I grow up to be a furry? No. Did I want to bang a lion? No. Every time I imagined Nala in my head, I imagined a human. It created a dissonance in me wherein I looked at the screen and was like "wait, they're lions?" But for others, they may fully acknowledge that these characters are lions, but are only attracted to them because 1. They can communicate 2. They have a charming personality and 3, the most important one: they're mentally mature enough to remind you of a human your age or above. Also they're not in your home sniffing at you and peeing in your shoes, they're fully independent beings. Much how like DnD players are always trying to bang dragons, half of the enjoyment is in how fantasy-like the creature is, and ripped away from our reality.

So, a small correction: the "~" or squiggle as you call it (it is called a tilde) does _not_ mean "less than," it means "about" or "approximately." So when Sappho is saying that she is attracted to some people ~16 - 18 years old, what she means is that she is attracted to some people from roughly sixteen to eighteen. This isn't a dog whistle- is what I would say, but it actually kind of is. See, here is the thing. On the surface, knowing what the tilde means in this context would imply that this isn't a dog whistle for her liking people even younger, except that the way she constructs the statement actually changes the meaning. See, for example, if someone writes "~30 min," that means that it will be around 30 minutes, but could be above or below. In her statement, Sappho takes the time to specify the range above 16 ( 16 - 18), which means that the approximation that the tilde is implying can only include ages _below_ 16. It is the kind of thing someone might write if they really didn't want to say that they were attracted to people younger than 16 but still wanted to say that.

As a furry, I noticed our community instantly blocks, harasses, and effectively shuns these zoophiles: which is good, obviously, and deserved. But there is a backfire to this; zoos are forced into a tight subcircle, and when a minor falls into this closed off circle, and possibly groomed, all outsiders with the attacks are suddenly seen as unreasonable. We do need to debunk claims from zoos, and give it time to linger on these discussions, because although it's an obvious wrong, the more we provide 0 explanation, the more kids fall into that tight-knit community that is actively trying to convince said kids. If you're a young & naive, and you're sinking into something that is closed off from the rest of the community, you're more likely to listen to those providing more in depth reasoning- even if it's flawed- than those who aren't giving it the time & day and trying to get the situation resolved as quickly as possible. I think maybe the furry community is tired of being shunned itself and associated with zoos, and we try to get dramas like these done & over as quickly as it can be in order to bring less attention to us, but thats just a thought.

I wonder if young adults (people 18 - 24) could be groomed into z00ph1l1a (or paraphilias in general) just like kids and teens can, since young adults can be just as naïve as kids and teens. I know young adults would obviously be more mentally mature, but still. (After all, our brains don't fully develop 'til age 25 or 30.)

@@mileidyclass the human brain fully develops around 24-26 years of age. In this stage the brain is finalising the overall details of a person's personality through figuring out their moral compass and what they particularly abide by. This means that technically speaking yes, people of 18-24 years of age can be manipulated, granted they are not a gullible person because then they are easily manipulated no matter the age. Hope this helps, I'd suggest reading the DSM5 (and DSM6 once the current one is updated) to learn more about the development of the brain if you're curious on this

agree. we may think it’s “common sense”, and while it sure can be, there’s also the problem of intrusive thoughts. i have adhd and anxiety which causes me to think HORRIBLE things and for the longest time i thought i was just an awful person because the definitions of intrusive thoughts just didn’t click in my brain (i have very bad reading comprehension) now i know i don’t actually want to screw animals and kill babies, but i know that zoophiles and other philes will target people with intrusive thoughts and try to convince them that those thoughts are how they truly feel. it’s an awful, yet likely effective, manipulation tactic, and is likely what sappho did to that 14 year old and many more.

I put this on while at work for something to listen to in my ear. I did not realize this would be nearly four hours of horror. Hope your voice is okay after speaking in a marathon about this holy shit good on you.

I think the main problem with these guys is that they think pleasure = consent. they think zoosadism is bad because the victim can't get any sort of physical pleasure from it, whereas pdfilia is okay because the child *could* get physical pleasure from it. they don't recognize the long term consequences of these things, they can't comprehend that what brings the body pleasure in the moment can and will cause long lasting trauma.

The ways I accept humans calling others their "mates" is things like : "Good day, mates." "First mate (ship personnel)" or "That's my mate (friend) X".

very early on in the video but holy shit, finally somebody else mentioned the way *hypnotist* sappho spoke throughout the video, im lucky it was sped up here because i couldn’t sit through the original because of how badly it irritated me. it’s the way she’d let her speech drift til a soft but noticeable pronounced s or t, the way she’d pauses after “and”. there was a constant feeling of unease with the soft way of speaking as if it were on purpose. esp with the dubious consent of some of her hypno sessions. gross. calling herself momma, fantasising about manipulating those far younger than her, even her gentle speech is untrustworthy and gives me the creeps.

I always side eye people who bring up cancel culture as to reasons why their behavior would be seen as inappropriate. 5 out of 4 times, what they really mean is "don't call me out for being a jackass" or "I'm about to say something incredibly messed up and don't wanna take responsibility for it". It just means they wanna say and do horrendous things without any consequences. I'm just genuinely surprised she didn't try to use racism as an excuse for why everyone is so uncomfortable with her paraphilia. Edit: fish???? FISH???? 🤢🤮
