Ah, it makes sense that a lot of what he speaks about comes from early Adventist pioneers who clearly understood moral decisionmaking as well as how it rightly plays into three angels' messages.

Get out of the relationship or get help to build your own confidence and then confront the abusive person (as long as it's not physical abuse). Be ready to accept rejection and be okay with it.
