It's crazy how you can hate someone as soon as they walk up to the stage because of their energy, or once they start talking faster than light speed.

It's like that old saying "Dying is easy, but comedy is hard." Open-mike shows tend to be a repository for folks who think that comedy is simply 'stating anything that comes to mind', or relating random stories. I can't count the number of folks I have seen at these types of shows who failed to get a single laugh.

Anything can be politicised, I think the best comics walk that line with finesse. Look at Chappelle 🤷♂️
@2329311 ай бұрын
comedy is extremely hard and competitive, one or two jokes wont cut it, you need material and most importantly don't insult the crowd
@jackthehat10932 жыл бұрын
The second dude is my favourite. I've watched that one several times over the years. The second joke confuses me. The setup is that he can't be bothered going to work and the punchline is he got laid off from work. Or was it a punchline? Because he goes on to say he's going through that right now. It wasn't funny in any way but he delivered it to an audience at a comedy club as if it was a joke. That's the beauty of it. Whether it was supposed to be a joke or an irrelevant anecdote about his real life it's equally as cringey and funny.

Youre cool as shit dude, sound like someone I can sit down and talk about the art of comedy with and that is surprisingly rare these days. From fallen Gods like Patrice, to that first guy that bombed in this video, it's a grind and they know it well. The last guy though, he is on to something. And I think is smarter than people give him credit for. As they say, an idiot cannot act smart and fool anybody, and an insecure guy cannot act confident and fool anybody. The opposites to these are true though.

When you make fun of a Bluetooth, remember every fad will be in the same situation when enough time goes by. Today’s earbuds are tomorrow’s Bluetooth. Today’s youth will be tomorrow’s douchbag. Today’s accomplishments are standing on the shoulders of yesterday’s inventions. Don’t be so naïve.
