I mean, kind of. He's said himself he uses that humor to cope and he makes jokes about his dad all the time. Plus these roasts are always about "going there", IE being extremely offensive for the sake of shock comedy, which I'm sure he knows and is fine with. If this was just some random guy, yeah, but I think Pete doesn't care that much and even kind of "opens the door" so to speak.
