The original was inspired by the plethora of actual fly on the wall documentaries such as BBC “Airport”. It was such a new idea that it scored very low in the focus group it was first shown in. Gervais and Merchant are comedy geniuses, so yes I do believe that can create an original idea.

@ I’m sorry but before you get overly emotional you should absolutely do research… I work in film, and even when improvising you still do takes… that’s why you see outtakes and unreleased footage… even when it’s improv if it is being recorded and edited the actors still need to flesh out the “game” fully, and that’s RARELY in one take. Or they usually will think of something better, and do multiple takes to give editors and production options.
