Most of my issues with American studio audiences have to do with whooping at the material built on presidential shortcomings that have a negative effect on Americans. I have no issue with laughter as reaction to gallows humour, just whooping. But here, there's a new layer. Trevor asks 'how can you be a billionaire president and still be so insecure?' which received a laugh. And he didn't play it for laughs. It was not a line written for a laugh. It's actually one of the most frightening aspects of this administration, the fact that the so-called president is so fragile that he will drop anything to do with being a leader for the people in order to have a little catfight because someone hurt his feewings.
