These look delicious 😋 a couple of tips you can try if you want is one use Wilton green candy melts so you don't have to worry about coloring the candy coating two cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill it in the fridge before you scoop and form the chocolate into balls

We used 1lb vanilla bark and added a 12oz package of Wilton Green Candy Melts (so we didn’t have to deal with the food coloring) and it worked perfectly!

When making dipped chocolates, I was taught the toothpick method. You can use a straw dipped in the coating to cover each hole. Do several at a time.

Hi T & M, such beautiful truffles!! I bet everybody loves those. You mentioned 30 varieties of Oreos, I nearly fainted, we just get vanilla oh I forgot, there were some milk chocolate ones on the shelves but they are gone. To keep their prices up they use the import duty as a wonderful excuse to raise the price of all imported goods, it is 4x's the usual price. No only do we get deprived at the same time their profits are going down, so no one gains anything. Not a good thought for this precious time of the year, too much to be grateful. I watch your videos all the time and totally enjoy them. I was a bit surprised how Tom was so impatient adding the food coloring. The Grinch is green.....REALLY green. Also, when melting chocolate and it starts to set faster than I would like, I add a little coconut oil. It works well with no taste at all. I will try this recipe....ty.

This is so cute. My Granddaughter loves watching the Grinch and also really likes mint…..so I guess Grandma should make some for her. One tip I know for keeping the candy coating soft-- boil some water in a saucepan, then set bowl with the melted candy coating on the pan over the hot water, like a double boiler. This will keep the candy warm and melted as you dip the truffle centers. I am really enjoying these video.

I very much enjoyed this recipe. I made this recipe. I was not able to get the mint Oreo cookies Instead I used mint extract. In the almond bark I put crushed mint pieces. They were darn good. Thank you for the recipe!

They have green candy coating melts at Michael's. These are quick, easy, and let you skip the whole food coloring process. I dip my truffles with a toothpick, and put them on wax paper, or parchment paper, on a cookie sheet to harden. Then, I put each one in the little paper candy cup. It makes for a neat and clean presentation, without them hardening on the paper cup. LOVE your Grinch mint truffles!! They turned out so cute. Maybe I will try those this year. My daughter decorates cakes as a side job, and she uses the coloring paste that comes in a little jar. It doesn't take much at all. My son's wife is an absolute Grinch fanatic, so these will be for her.

If you use the gel kind for cake decorating like Wilton it will take a lot less and wont affect the chocolate. It just takes a little bin on a tooth pick to get a good color
