I find it wild that koji kondo directed this. His previous music wasnt bad, it was just kinda generic bubbly happy music. The mg ost sounds so different from his previous work, its so beautiful and ethereal

Respectfully want to insert that Kondo wrote almost all Zelda music for a long time. I wouldn't call ANY Zelda soundtrack generic by any means.

Other than Good Egg Galaxy which was done by Koji Kondo, I beleive all of the music was mainly composed by Mahito Yokota for this game. Although Koji Kondo did guide Mahito Yokota as to what the style of music should be. Originally Mahito Yokota wanted to make Latin styled music for this game but Koji Kondo famously told Mahito Yokota (I'm probably not wording this quote 100% correctly because I'm going off of memory) "If you have any idea Mario is cute, get it out of your head. Mario is not cute, Mario is cool" which is how the style of music was decided for the game.
