I am on my fourth Range Rover in a 20 year span . I keep them 100k miles or more and I currently have a sport with 185 k miles no problems , runs like new and still looks great . Great post. I have bought three Land Rovers/Range Rover at stupid low prices because of the depreciation. I do as much of my own maintenance as I can. My son is a very good auto-mechanic and he helps too. I actually enjoy working on them because they are so well engineered, and I'm an NASA engineer - I know. The is how you get to truly own a vehicle, to maintain it, work on it and fix it when it needs fixing.

I had a Range Rover Autobiography loaned to me for a week from a family member. It had the same supercharged V8. I never understood why people bought RR until the end of the week. That thing was beautiful to drive. Big, fast and luxury. They dont keep em long enough for anything major to appear. However, i did own as a personal car a Lexus IS350 F-Sport. Lexus was not afraid to charge for maintenence and it wasn`t imprevious to repairs. A 10k service, oil/ filter change was $275 here in Las Vegas. Major 120k service, plugs, serpentine belt, brake fluid, all filter and oil change was $1600. It also had a rattling from the roof. That turned out to be cables for the sunroof that detached from the roof. Quote was $5500. No thanks. Still loved that car tho, and miss it. Good luck on the RR, hope she treats you right.

Those individuals who choose to skip it or simply don't have the money are more likely to loudly declare openly about the unreliability of a car..

On a test drive, feel for any wobbles or issues when turning especially full lock turns at low speed. Rotors and brakes are not that expensive if you do them yourself. Your first mistake was buying a car from non Range Rover dealer. Not that its going make a difference when it come to Rover reliability. My point is you buy a BMW from BMW dealer, you buy Mercedes from Mercedes dealer so that these dealers qualified tech who knows the particular car in question, generally speaking. My question to you is did you buy the car knowing Rover is unrilable? If so, then I can safely say you bought the vehical for one of two reasons; eestetically appealing or for the status of owing a Range Rover. Both of those reason is valid. However, you shouldn't complain about how much it cost to maintain a R.Rover. it's a known fact any luxury vehicles you take it to the dealer will cost you. Your defense for purchasing R.Rover is exception because the vehical is running smooth, and that's OK too, however, not all Rover is equal. I'm talking about over all percentage of Rover owner regarding reliability is staggering compared to other makes. Furthermore, buying a Rover, or any used vehicle for that matter without certified pre-owened vehicle is taking a chance, especially R. Rover. Even with warrantee I can't imagine dealing with all the headache of going back and fourth to the dealer. Good luck.

I knew exactly what I was getting myself into for reliablity… everyone is scared to own them based on rumors. I wanted to see if they are as bad as people make them out to be. The Range Rover is nothing more than a flex. It’s just a pretty car. The all around car itself is garbage. Unreliable garbage.

When I see videos like this, I think to myself people drive these cars to impress people they don’t even know. I guess for guys it’s like sending out a mating call to women. I had above average luck with women. Never needed a flashy car. When I purchase a vehicle, I don’t want to even think about having any issues associated with it so I buy Toyota. Never any problems.

Or they buy them because they like them. Why is it the automatic assumption it's to impress people they don't know?

Check out your other content lmao , I’ve seen enough after 5 minutes of this . This goes to show money does not buy brains/talent. You sound surprised that a Land Rover cost a lot of money to fix and there are constant problems. You also keep comparing it to other makes and models WTF.
