I tried lactek and pumpin pals, I found lactec worked better but ultimately sizing waaaay down to my correct size was the ultimate game changer

What do you mean sizing down? Sizing down smaller than your actual measurement? I measure about 17-18mm before feeding. I’m thinking I might have elastic nipples too. I’m not sure if I’m sizing myself correctly.

This was very helpful. I’m pretty sure I have elastic nipples & I’ve been having a really hard time finding the right shield for me. I have some cracks & a blister ring because of it. I’ve been working with an IBLC, but still struggling.

Can I suggest something? Try the virtual fitting room (free) by pumpables. They'll size you. I also have super elastic nipples and had pain and the ring.. but turned out the LC at the hospital sized me wayyy higher than my right right (she said I need at least 27, maybe bigger) .. it reduced my supply and made me uncomfortable. I'm actually 21mm. Made a huge difference by sizing down. I highly recommend the pumpables liquid shield kit too

Hi, thank you so much for your video it was very informative and I always love your videos! I am an exclusive pumping mama and I’ve only been doing it for a little over a month so I need all the tips I can get! Right now you have me sold on the Pumpables super Genie once I can afford it. The only problem is that I believe I have elastic nipples. Which of these shields do you think is best with elastic nipples? I have the pumpin pals in every size. I recently had bought the small set as that is what the website suggested. I think my nipples are about 17 mm. However, the small and extra small both hurt even when I put them on correctly and the medium decreased my output. So I’ve been using and XL set that an LC gave me a long time ago. They’re way too big, but it’s the only thing that is comfortable for now and gets the milk out. However, they are stretching out my nipples and causing soreness afterwards. Will the liquid shield system work for me with elastic nipples? Also, would you suggest the lacteck shields? I am currently using a Medela PISA. I will definitely use your affiliate links for which ever one you suggest! And I super appreciate the help :-)

I just watched your video on portable pumps and was interested in a Baby Buddha and the Pumpables Genie Advanced, however, I have small, elastic nipples and Pumpin Pals are the only flange that I’ve found work well for me. I tried lactek and beugen cushions also and they didn’t work for me. There seems to be a way to hack the Pumpin Pals with the Baby Buddha. I was curious if I tried this new liquid shield system with the Pumpables Genie Advanced and it didn’t work for me, would I be able to hack Pumpin Pals to use with it?

With the BeauGens, do you put them on your nipple first or do they go directly on the flange? Also, does the pumping spray degrade the silicone in any way?

For anyone reading this, you put it inside the flange first. I really like them, but they only last a few weeks. I wouldn't leave them submerged in water, nor would I spray anything on them. They break down really easily.

I currently have pumping pals and many other flanges.. I have smaller elastic nipples and big breast.. the pumpin pals are more comfortable at the ridge, but don't seem to stimulate me quite enough. I have elastic smaller nipples, my elastic nipples change according to the flange I am using.. I'm having a really hard time finding a flange that fits me properly and I don't feel like I'm emptying well enough, In best attempt at an opinion which do you think would suit me best? Thankyou! Try the pumpin pals! These work great with the Spectra pump. The sizing isn’t that specific, plus they sell the flanges as sets of three sizes. I tried all of the sizes and for a little while was using two sizes. The customer service is also really great because they are lactation consultants and very helpful!

No it is used in place of the breast shield/flange. Any flange kit that has a removable breast shield should be able to accommodate it.

There should be a kit all together! You can also buy replacements parts, which is probably what you’re seeing. I’d maybe try a 21 there to If that’s what you’re using on the lacteck

Get breast milk storage bags...dont matter the brand just make sure they dont leak (try to use some with water to test if they leak) measure the amount of milk in a bottle so u can get correct measurements to put on bag (pouring straight on bag doesn't give u a good reading....pour carefully in storage bags and squeeze out as much air as possible. Then write the date I pumped and the amt of milk in bag. (I suggest in a 6oz bag only put 5 oz and 10 oz to only put about 8 oz of milk etc...milk expands sometimes when frozen.) Then make sure its sealed properly and freeze flat( for maximum storage space)then store how ever way u choose. When ready to use frozen breast milk run under hot water or sit it in a tub of hot water and massage the milk fat back to togther without shaking it.

What is the main reason you use pumpin pals? They all have a bit different purposes, so I guess it depends on what you’re looking to accomplish!

I really wanted a back up pump manual pump but I have elastic nipples and I struggle using the haakaa because it will bruise my breasts. Is their something I can use to get a manual pump and use the cushions?

Have you adjusted your flange size on your manual pump? That is really important with elastic nipples! Many of these in this video will also fit into some manual pumps if you want to try that too.

Not nearly as frequently! Only if you start to notice any tears or breaking on the silicone. They are very sturdy though.
