Best dad, daughter and doggie combo ever! Plus, as soon as the main solo starts, she gets into it. Any dad would be proud to have a daughter who appreciates music like she does. Yet another convert to keep the music alive for the future!!

I like that you picked up the sadness in this song. 'Comfortably Numb' is part of a concept album, where the songs all put together tell a story - in 'Comfortably Numb', the singer is a musician on tour, some bad things have happened and he's depressed to the point of... not quite illness, but he's definitely not himself, only the agents and managers don't care how he's feeling, they just hire a doctor to give him something so he can perform so they don't lose money. And so he's still not feeling right, but he also no longer cares: "I - have become - comfortably numb." P.S. Congratulations on getting your own Video Reaction Office!

People mistake the 1994 tour with the album and DVD from the 1994 tour. The tour was called The Division Bell Tour which followed the release of the album of the same name. A year later the band released a live album from the tour and it was called P.U.L.S.E. It was also released on video. What was noteworthy about the Pulse album was that on the spine of the CD it had an annoying flashing red light. I had to cover mine with electricians tape. At night it looked like the cops were at the front of the house. The flower petal glitter ball near the end was 16 feet across. It was the last in a long line of glitter balls that The Floyd used during live shows stretching back to the early 70s.

I love your reaction to what is easily the greatest guitar solo of all time! I had to wait until I was 22 to hear this, although I knew the album version by heart. I was just forward of the mirror ball in the 2nd tier, and that performance left me walking on air for days. Most lead guitarists gt up on stage and plug their guitars into an amplifier and pedal-board. David Gilmour goes on stage and plugs HIS guitar into his soul and your heart, and uses it to pour the raw emotion direct from himself to you, with perfectly clean tones and with room for the music to breathe. I may be just a little biased, having been there and having attended the same college as David and Syd, although quite a bit later. It is now part of Anglia Ruskin University, and Syd has a memorial plaque in the wall of the arts building where he studied, right next to the door he would have used most frequently. Every year, as an alumnus, I get to nominate someone for the Chancellors awards in each category. I nominate David for lifetime achievement and contribution to the arts, and will do so every year until he is awarded both. He's earned them, and you just heard why. Your father is giving you a truly great musical education, and I love the format with him not revealing the song until you are on camera. I just subscribed, and have to binge-watch to catch up! And to your father - thank you, and may I suggest the Live8 Pink Floyd reunion and final performance in its entirety? I had to watch it on TV, sadly, instead of being there, but it is truly epic.

After all these years this is still one of the greatest live moments I ever experienced. Comfortably numb is part of the concept album The wall, which is also the soundtrack of the same titled movie. It's the partwise autobiographical story of Roger Waters as "Pinky" (played by Bob Geldof), who is losing his father during the war, a mother distracted in her own grief, an authoritarian school system, fame, but fake friends... many bad things, that build up a wall around him. It's an excellent movie with strong, but sometimes also disturbing pictures/scenes. If you like Pink Floyd, I highly recommend to watch it someday, but give yourself some time until you do it. I was 16, when I saw it the first time, and... let's say, I felt a bit paralyzed.

Hey, guys! I'm really enjoying this wonderful journey through the best of rock & roll, and I'm really glad Amelia and Bella are too hehe. I'm an ancient rocker myself, and these tunes are the very ones I cut my teeth on, my older brother having handed down his vinyl record collection to me when I was eight-ten years of age. A couple of historical and contextual notes: - This from the album and movie "The Wall", which touched on such themes as how the UK educational system at the time was rather harsh and alienating, as was society at large (how cheerful!). It's also about Roger Waters's relationship with his father, who was captured by the Germans during the War. - This is one of my own favourite "big guitar" songs - huge, fat tone from the guitar, against a fairly simple backdrop of power chords. The guitar solo is relatively simple, but he uses just the right notes at the right time to make it sound so much greater... - PF were known for their elaborate shows; at times they've featured flying pigs, and in the late 70's placed massive bass bins under the audience's seats to compliment the sound of the engine of a remote control airoplane which stated the show. And then, as you found out, the light shows were amazing of course. All the best to ya :-)

Looks like Dad is making some fine choices from the recommendations your receiving Amelia, your musical education is in good hand's. I know there are many more wonderful band's and artists for you to discover but can I recommend the next time you delve into Nightwish you check out a performance that Floor and Troy played for Planet Rock in February, prior to the lock down. They perform acoustic versions of the classic 'Nemo' and from the new album, 'How's The Heart' which is absolutely stunning, Floor's voice is so amazing, I'm sure you'll be impressed once again by this ladies vocal ability. Love your reactions, the antics of the dog always brings a smile to my face!

Pink Floyd is one of, if not THE greatest masters of the live concert. Tuomas & Marko of Nightwish are big fans of the band and I have to think that Floyd has had an impact on the way Nightwish does their big shows. Nightwish even covered the Pink Floyd song, "High Hopes" with Marko singing the lead. I think Amelia would really like it. If you do watch the performance, keep an eye out for the circular screen that Nightwish uses there which recalls the big circular screen here.

Love to see a new generation listening to Pink Floyd. I found your channel through this video and have since watched most of your reactions, can't wait to see you discover more great music. I highly recommend Shine on you crazy Diamond, or Time, from the same Pulse concerts. But really you can't go wrong with any Pink Floyd. I also think you should listen to some Led Zeppelin, probably start with Stairway to Heaven as a great intro, but it gets even better from there.

Funny that you said it wasn't long enough! This is actually the edited version. This and other songs in this concert were probably edited so the whole thing would fit on a VHS tape, which would've been the standard in 1994. If you look around on KZbin, you can find the unedited version. It has some different camera angles than this version and is 50-odd seconds longer, all of which is the in the ending guitar solo. There is also a remastered video of this edited version on KZbin. I wish somebody would remaster the unedited version.

Amelia - Seeing your reactions reminds me of introducing my own daughter to a lot of these same songs years ago, and it brings back a lot of happy memories. Thank you! Dad - Good choice with the live version of this song vs the video with clips from the movie in it. That may have been a bit much. If you're going back to earlier songs might I suggest Queensryche - Silent Lucidity, Rush - Limelight, or The Moody Blues - I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band).
