Great cards! Nice and simple! For my quick cards, I tend to grab a ready- made background and slap something on the top... a stamp, or sticker or ephemera piece, then add the sentiment I need. I go on background making binges and keep a box full at the ready.

Aww what lovely cards Natasha! Simple but effective, and love those glittery butterflies. My comfy card making would be just making a card either using paper strips with white embellishments on the top, or cards just purely using a paper pad and some of the elements in there (don’t have to think to coordinate colours) Thanks as always Natasha! 😃🩷

Natasha , First I watch a few days of whatever of your videos come up , then decide what kind of cards that I need to send out in the near future . I pick colors for the person they are going to be sent to or added to their gift . I just start cutting, holding one thing to another , over lapping , or whatever . In other words I make it up as I go . I don’t glue anything down until it suits me . I add jewels often . I hand write sentiments with water color markers . No two are alike . I try to stick with what you say “ use what you have “ ! Kind of like writing music without a plan ! Card making is more fun than buying a card . Even if it cost more , I hope to continue sending cards that I make , rather than buying ❣️

Brilliant idea of laying them on one sheet instead of using each piece one at a time. Super cool cards Natasha. My go to quick card making is cut a card base 51/4 by 51/2, score the 51/4 one at an inch, so you have the back of a card base and only one inch for the front of the card base, then cut a patterned piece of paper A2 size, glue it under the one inch piece on the front. Also mat layer the one nice front piece.

Very nice. I can try that. I love seeing things here on You Tube that I can do with what I have. I have plenty of supplies, but not all of them. I do have plenty of stamps of butterflies. I never thought of using Gel Pens for coloring because of such a small nib. But now I know what I can use my metallic/shiny/glittery pens for. At least to try them out. Thank you.

I love going through my paper packs with co-ordinated prints. I don’t know how that became a favorite, but I made bunches of Christmas cards just playing with papers. (If they come with ephemera packs, that just makes it more fun!) I started with stamping because I love coloring. I have used pages from coloring books to make cards. And watching you play with your supplies is my stimulant drug of choice! Thank you 😊

Love these. They're different and great when you've lost your mojo. I totally agree about the trimmers. The blades get really expensive when you do a lot of crafting because they need changing often. I have changed over to a guillotine which I much prefer. My comfy card making is using beautiful papers or using my scraps in card making. I don't have to think too much.

Lovely cards, Natasha. I love ephemera packs without the white edges, too. One of my favourite techniques is using an ink blended tag from my stash & distress micro glaze through a stencil and then spraying or swiping colours over the top. Results are always unexpected & amazing ❤

I have two Tim Holtz guillotine trimmers, and I love them, but I have actually been considering the Spellbinders one. My larger one's about seven years old and so is my die-cutting machine, so it's time to look around for newer things. My Big Shot is completely wrecked, lol. I'm glad to hear the Spellbinders guillotine is good. For comfy cardmaking, I enjoy diecutting so it's anything intricate or with a lot of pieces. I also enjoy really spending time on beautiful inlays. Another thing for comfort cardmaking is making backgrounds out of strips. You can't beat that for thinking out a problem.You can make a ton of them and then mount them and add a sentiment later .

If your guillotine trimmer blade is dull, try cutting a piece of tin foil/aluminum foil (not sure what you call it in NZ 😊). You can do that with scissors too. Won't work for the other kind of trimmer, and manufacturers will probably say don't do it for guillotine, so at your own risk. 😊💛

Natasha...Your ideas are always fresh and different!! There are so many other tutorials that use similar templates and keep rotating the same similar ideas. Yours are always fresh and different. To my mind, that is the true meaning of creativity. Comfy carding making? Wish I had one! I over-think everything aiming for perfection. I feel I have to go through a flow chart of possibilities before even starting ( and since I've hoarded supplies ..more than what I will use in a lifetime, that flow chart of possibilities is SO LONG --yet I go through one every time Is there therapy for this? ;)
@coraliem82302 ай бұрын
Yes! That's challenging. I find it's good to have a goal like 'I need 3 Thank you cards'. Then use Natasha's video (like this) for a technique. Sometimes I make more cards in the same week with a small twist😊.
@doloresneilson53492 ай бұрын
@@coraliem8230 Thank you for understanding!! I feel blessed to have an abundant supply hoarded from Pinterest pins, sales and vids (to avoid feeling limited creatively). Personally, I think too many supplies complicate the decision making process PLUS I feel overwhelmed going through a flowchart of endless possibilities. I hate to waste. Thank you.
