COMIC STYLE PAINT for RC bodies

I've been watching stilllack brush do full size cars and I like his style. I had the idea to do the flub body I just got. an dammit you beat me to the punch. I'll still do one but now I'm behind the ball as usual. props 24. your always showing. the sick ish.

Another look that I like to do is, I paint it in light grey filler printer and get it smooth, then I cover the Light Grey with a black sandable primer and sand it like you did on this one, then I spray the body with a Color Shift Acrylic paint from Folkart (Airbrush), where the light grey is underneath it'll be one color and where the black is still at it'll be another color, then cover it with clear for protection!

Only seen this done on clear lexan bodies so far. Couple of my mates have tried it with great results. For a 1st attempt on a micro hardbody, that looks really awesome. Love the colours and you've picked out the highlights with the markers really well. Great job 👍

I love the look of this style, and have been trying to find a kids toy cartoon car (think the mystery machine, or Blaze the monster machine) that I can repaint in this style for a unique crawler that doesnt take itself too seriously.

Turned out really nice! Do you do a final clear coat over the paint markers, or just leave it as is?

I think ill just leave it as is. I dont want the clear coat to react weird and ruin it (ive had bad luck with clear)
