Hi Jack, great review on the comica v10ii. You mentioned that obviously the closer to the subject the better the sound, just wondered if you knew if an extension cable would work to facilitate this

I just got the comica and it has a ton of static...Im thinking its the cable but I don't know. Any suggestions?

Could be the cameras preamp. What camera are you using with it?

@@RoseWangelin I figured, yeah this is a canon issue. I think I even mention in this video about canon pre amps. They're known for being super noisy. Also try to make sure you have auto gain control turned off.

i can tell the difference between the phone mic and the comica. but i cant tell it from the rode. i think the only tiny difference is the app and rode is a little quiter

The rode has way less background noise and sounds a lot fuller in my opinion.
