I really wish I could have enjoyed this movie more. I honestly tried. But it was impossible not to compare this film to the AMAZING run by Jason Aaron - a run that defined Thor for me. The tonal shift from the source media to this was too jarring. I understand Taika's approach but I truly felt like this movie was for small children... If you told me that "Gorr the God Butcher" storyline from the comics was going to be made into a MCU project but for kids aged 12 and under, I would have said it was impossible. The story is too dark, too mature, and TOO DAMN GOOD to be toyed with... I was wrong... As a huge Marvel nerd - I just hope with time, I accept this movie more and more!

Bale can play ANY type of character. I'd bet badass is probably the easiest trait for an actor of his caliber. Seriously, did ya see The Machinist? IIRC Bale dropped his weight to around 130-140 pounds for that role so what you see in his sickly, emaciated character is real, no CGI. And you wanna talk a REAL badass move? Immediately after that role he built himself back up to a solid 240 pounds to play Bruce Wayne/Batman. That is serious badass from top to bottom!

Don't Expect too much from the movie. Christian bale may do a spectacular job at potraying the psycho god butcher but one thing that needs to be kept in mind is that The movie is not about Gorr . It is mainly about passing the torch to Female Thor and Thor regaining his identity . Gor might be in the final fight where he kills no one and maybe few dead bodies of Gods but nothing too disturbing for a Disney movie

The best way of handling this epic storyline is to make it a REAL story instead. What do I mean?? What I mean is that since Thor is obviously here to stay for a while now according to all the evidence, it means that the future of the Thor character has many more miles left to go. So if you want the epic story from the comics, you have to pace it right and in my opinion that cannot be done in just ONE solitary film. This movie is going to start a whole new trilogy for Thor. One which will cover the entirety of the God Butcher story with the God Bomb and everything, including getting alternate versions of Thor to defeat Gorr the God Butcher just like in the comics. So if Marvel is smart, and I think they are, they will use this opportunity to get this storyline PERFECT for the big screen with a full on trilogy covering this story. I think it can be done and I personally think it SHOULD be done that way. Thoughts anyone??

Yes flag smasher was an EXTREMELY nuanced character (even more so than the comic villain she was based on) but such a risk, in that context was admirable. Sadly lost on you. Again, nothing I said about the villains was hateful it was an actual honest assessment of the villains, their motivations and their comic sources. Not "I just wanna complain without actually looking at motives, source material, story lines, or character arcs"

Marvel’s only answer to expanding the verse without doing too much that they’d regret is making prequel movies for villains after they’ve been defeated or whatever and expanding with other characters related to the past it’s marvel there are over a thousand characters to choose from if we’re being honest Ik this has no relation to the video but I gotta leave this here

Marvel should just make TV series of certain movies and situations like they did with Hawkeye. I can think of three reasons why they did include the nose; Christian Bale would've cut his own off because he's that dedicated, they didn't want him to look too much like Voldemort, and also there was a pasty no nose guy hanging out with Thanos and I'm sure audiences would've gotten confused. I guess Batman finally live long enough to see himself be the villain, like a legit villain and not just a crazy person.

That gold god was powered by an infant enigma force who is Knulls counter part. Basically, he wasn't a god-like the others but a powered being by the enigma force which elevated him
