Superman has greater striking feats than that (same with lifting), etc... One little note: Superman has also said he couldn’t fly faster than Light, yet he did so mere issues later. Basically, just cuz Superman downplays himself, doesn’t mean that’s his limit. Referring to the pulling the planet feat.
@brownwindedangel6 жыл бұрын
PhantomRisk didn't he only manage that because he was in space? I'm pretty sure it's said Supes can fly faster in a vacuum because he flys by bending space around him, so in a void Supers is faster because of less work to move. I don't remember every couple dozen issues of post crisis Supes so maybe that something else but I'm pretty sure that on planet Supes can't fly faster than light
@ThePhantomRisk6 жыл бұрын
brownwingedangel Superman can fly faster than Light in Earth. He just chooses not to. If he did, it would be disastrous to the environment and people around him (though he has flown faster than Light on earth as well). The whole Superman bending space around him to propel him forward is a theory by Dessad, but contradicted numerous times. I’m pretty sure he could do both. As in fly faster than Light normally. But go Massively Faster than Light by warping space-time.

For the infinite pages book feat, what if superman and Shazam were only able to lift it because its weight is constant growing as more and more possible events occur? And it’s just called infinite because it contains every possible event that could have happen as a result of previous actions. That would kind of make sense as to why Ultra man was able to see “the final chapter”. Really it wasn’t, it might just be the last part of one possible chain of events.

Some things to note: the feat was an outlier, but the book truly was infinite. It had all the stories ever existed in DC infinite multiverse, and via the plot of the arc, all of the stories meant all creation. When Ultraman claimed to have read the end, he said Mandrakk would be the end of all things. In the same arc, Cosmic Armor Superman beats Mandrakk, proving Ultraman's statement to be wrong, and therefore not the end of the book. So you can't really take him as credit over more reliable resources. Also to note, Ultraman could have started at the end of the book rather than the beginning, I know I do that sometimes (though this answer is purely assumption, it's possible). Also: solar systems are *really far apart.* The nearest star to earth other than the sun is four light years away. When you destroy ten star systems at once, your power must be able to cross that vast gap in space. The amount of force is faaar above ×10 solar system. But either way, that feat is nothing compared to by the galaxy feat, so no real point in correcting this. Other than that, this video was pretty decent. There were more amazing feats that would have been nice for you to put in, most notably for striking strength, but compared to most other youtube videos, you did justice to Post Crisis Superman, and I appreciate that.

Keep in mind that during the feat he moves the EArth with Hal Jordan, they meant that they had to do it carefully. Lantern can contain the Earth but he can't move it. Superman can move it, as we see this very same Superman move the massive Mageddon, whose own eye is larger than our sun. As for striking, a top feat for that is when he clashed with Earth-2 Superman, also known as the Golden Age Superman, who is actually freakishly powerful himself, being able to slam planets into each other with ease. Their one punch against each other caused the Universe to ripple itself so hard that time and space was warped, resulting in some universes across the multiverse becoming severely affected by the force of their punch. It would have also been cool if you could explain his visual powers, like X-ray vision, Heat vision(how it can work on command), and other perception powers that he has.

As everything did come to an end in the comic, and then restarted. Ultra man could have stopped reading after the part that said everything ends. Also ultra man lifted the book and is the exact copy of Superman. This makes sups and Ultraman =. Also discrediting feats of Superman fighting Darkside is just sad. Darkside is an outerversal God. His omega beams are known as pure destruction and sups can tank them. Also post crises had multiple universe level feats. Proving he is much stronger and much more powerful than your calculations. Many of your calculations are creating your own feats for the character, as writers don't put these numbers in a calculator themselves, and they shouldn't have 2.

You can get shot by a bullet and live, but you can't punch as hard as a bullet. You can get hit by a car going 20mph and not die, but you can't hit with the same force. See where I'm going with this? It's very common characters can take more than they put out. That way when they face a villian who can hit harder than they can, they dont die and can come back. Batman has survived hits from Bane and even Darkseid. He is not as strong as either of them. Have I proved my point enough yet?
@mementomori36656 жыл бұрын
@@rigo_ad9317 No it does not. My durability can be millions of times stronger than my striking strength, because my body could easily hold on the Energy I'm exerting. Now you've opened a can of......something. How powerful is the Christopher Reeve Superman and the Smallville Clark Kent? I'd ask about Brandon Routh but he's essentially the same guy as Reeve who was closest to the Silver-Age. I've always thought Dean Cain and Henry Cavil's Superman was closest to the Post-Crisis counterpart.
@connordutton6746 жыл бұрын
Tom Welling, Christopher Reeve, and Brandon Routh are all Silver Age Superman who basically possess infinite levels of power. If you want a actual number and a extremely conservative Silver Age Supes was around 30 times more power than current Superman. In 1985 John Byrne rebooted Superman and made him much weaker with pretty definite limits he could only lift around 800,000 tons, he couldn’t reach the speed of light his max was like 3% of that so 6,000 miles a second. Nuclear missiles could really hurt him he couldn’t go into space without a oxygen mask etc. This version is what the Dean Cain and Animated series is based on. Henry Cavil version is based on this version but updated as post crisis is John Byrne rebooted Supes but after they fired him or he left DC and the writers started to slowly increase his powers up to where they are now as this video shows. It’s funny as Henry Superman could be somewhere around 20-100 times more powerful than Dean Cain Superman and still be billions, trillions or more weaker than his comic book counter part.
@TONYGILLEY6 жыл бұрын
Now that I think about it, Welling was the Silver-Age Superman. He pushed a planet away from Earth with very little effort in the final episode. Over the course of the series he had the main powers that grew to Silver-Age levels minus the silly ones (Thank God) ie: ventriloquism, hypnosis, mind-wiping kiss, throwing cellophane 'S's' from his chest and making small versions of himself by doing......something?!?
@connordutton6746 жыл бұрын
Jamie Flynn post crisis never pulled a solar system your thinking of Silver Age Superboy. Smallville was definitely Silver Age Supes but updated to our modern setting. His powers slowly increased over the series as he got older but in season 5 he managed to withstand a indirect nuclear explosion and reentry back to earth with no damage. In season 2 or 3 he was shown to have a almost instantaneously healing factor, and a boy who could see everyone’s death said his life just kept going implying he would never die. They had multiple types of kryptonite rarely seen outside of Silver Age like black and gold and blue. He RAN from London/England back to Kansas/Metropolis in like 3 seconds which is 6.5 million mph something Cavill Superman can’t do flying. His heat vision in I believe season 6 was powerful enough to vaporize pretty much around a lake. They brought in The Legion of Superheroes for several episodes a recurring thing that happened when he was Superboy during the Silver Age. The whole series is about him growing up the biggest thing though is Smallville shows his career as Superboy minus the suit and how that shaped him into becoming The Man of Steel. Only the Silver Age had Superman start his career or super heroics as a teenager; all other incarnations of Superman had him coming out at the earliest at the age of 21.

In the Silver Age supposedly he had truly infinite levels of physical attributes or very close to it. I mean it showed Superboy physically transporting a entire Galaxy from one side of the universe to the other and he wasn’t even fully matured. The Bronze Age Superman has his powers reduced to I believe 1/3 of what the Silver Age Superman were. He could do almost everything Silver Age could do but had to put in more effort. A good example is Superboy Prime when he was first introduced it was during the Bronze Age. When they brought him back as a villain they MAY have forgotten he wasn’t from the Silver Age but either way Bronze Age Superman was at the same level as Prime or somewhere between Prime and modern Superman.

There isn’t a last chapter of an infinite book. He read it and said “Evil wins.” And then he was wrong. Because evil didn’t win during the Final Crisis storyline that feat took place in. Ultraman read one of the infinite endings to the Book of Infinite Pages and decided that was the end he wanted to believe. Oh, and Shazam was the one stressing when trying to lift the book. He got blown back because he couldn’t handle the power and Superman got blown back when Shazam dropped his portion. Not to mention Superman beats the crap out of Ultraman several times in their careers. I don’t like power scaling, but it’s obvious Superman is as strong as Ultraman.

FYI, a book of infinite pages can still have a last page. It just means there's an infinite number of pages preceding it. For example, there are an infinite amount of non-zero numbers less than 1. That means with 0 as the starting number, and 1 as the ending number, there are an infinite amount of numbers in between. But 0 is still the start, and 1 is still the end. The same with the book of infinite pages. The first page would be the moment of creation. The last page would be the final moment of all existence, and the pages in between all of the infinite possibilities.
