Adam Warlock is one of my top favorite Marvel characters....and I own most of his pre-90s books ....but ive never been able to finish the Infinity Watch series or The Infinity Crusade. Bless you for doing it for me so I can streamline it here.

One of my favorite books is the one where Pip accesses omnipotence and, within the span of an issue, realizes godhood would be a labor and wishes for nothing more than to be liked. It really shows why Adam would trust him with a stone, Drax too. I feel like I'd give mine back if I were Moondragon after the events of this story though.

Biggest problem with IC is the fact that Warlock's good and Evil Side are the same person. It's like Jim Starlin couldn't think of how to make a good side evil after giving the evil side the motif of a religious fanatic already. It was dumb but I'm granting it a little retrospective wit, something I'm sure Starlin hadn't thought of while he was writing it. Warlock was prematurely hatched, so his senses of good and evil would be equally stupid.

I'll be honest, something I really dislike is how writers will belittle other well established in-universe characters without any half way decent plot reasons for making their own characters seem impressive. Thanos one upping Malfesto is glaring and lame, it really makes me question why Jim has a weird fetish-level obsession with trying and often poorly making Thanos seem like a force to be reckoned with. Call me a power-scaler but fucking Thanos ain't anywhere near Malfesto for the reasons you guys already stated.
