I did not expect myself to get as emotional as I did to a Groot line but man I did. I loved this movie.

I will say I felt bad for this Dad who walked into the wrong theater with his young ones. They wanted to see the Super Mario movie, walked into ours and once that kid saw the Bunny with Spider Legs, lost his mind and screamed in terror.
@GamesWithBrainz Жыл бұрын
there were several young kids with their parents when i saw it and i was surprised none of them screamed or walked out lol. If i was like 9 or 10 and watched vol 3 i wouldve freaked out

The only thing I would have added/changed is I would have had Nebula give Gamora a copy of the music they listen to saying something like this is the only thing the moron is truly good for.

The way Tiffany reacted to hearing Florence + the Machine in Guardians 3 is exactly how I reacted to hearing The Flaming Lips in the movie

I cried all throughout the film. Thank God cinema theatres are dark, otherwise I would have been an embarrassed middle aged man.

I cried 3 times watching it. Bar none, literally only the death of my parents at 24- I’m 36 now- and my grandmother 4 years ago has done that to me, I’m pretty closed off when it comes to crying at all, and in movies it never happens at all. But from basically minute one of Rockets backstory, I started getting emotional and then eventually, with two Rocket backstory specific scenes in particular, I started crying. The third time was at the very end (a specific scene between Peter Quill and someone close to him) that got me too. It’s the performances of everyone in that scene. Also, easily one of the best Marvel movies I’ve seen in awhile. And I’m pretty jaded towards superheroes in general at the moment, but this one just spoke to me and I went in blind. I made a good choice cause damn!

After years of listening to back issues, and coming to this show for movie reviews in the past, y’all have gotten me making weekly visits to my comic book store and checking in for recommendations, reviews and all the other convos

They did a good job. Felt like an earlier phase film. Still had issues with the humor in inappropriate times especially with how dark this one is.

My LCS had current issues 25% off on Saturday. Then had a 70% off back issues on Sunday, so that things weren't so nuts. They also provided me with every FCBD issue they received, so a huge stack, as well as giving me some leftovers for my daughter's grade 6 class. Other local stores limited to 2 issues and had limited sales. I went to another city last year, where all of the comic stores (5-6) band together to have a draw contest, where you get stamped for visiting each store and then entered to win a variety of prizes. They then each do their own sales, etc.

For anyone wondering the "you don't wanna be the f bomb guy" was from a live interview and the way james gun tells it it was in fact a joke

The story is important to having a successful MCU film. It might be tricky to do that in some hands, but I feel the ones that get it right should be taught to newer writers. (Feel free to tell me other ideas you have for that.)

I'm one of the Jim Starlin fans who was disappointed with the handling of Adam Warlock in the film. The fact that Thanos wasn't in this movie took out The Infinity Watch element but I would love it if they later explored The Magus Storyline and examine the idea of a hero having a villain inside of him

Wait Sal, you're onto something. In Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child, Joker is randomly back to life and a trump supporter for some reason??? Maybe that was the influence of HALLIDAY!?! Tim Drake comes back as Joker in Batman Beyond, maybe some part of HALLIDAY imprinted onto Tim?? Hmmm????
@roguedexx938 Жыл бұрын
It was Absolutely Awesome!!
@17monsterguy Жыл бұрын
i think Sal kinda got the Haliday premise mixed up. i think Batman just said Haliday only ever creates Jokers to throw him off his game and taunt him. he wasn't creating Jokers, he was posessing them at the time we are dropping in to meet those Batmen. Hence why Arkham Batman says that the Joker rose from the dead, and why you see reports of a resurrected Joker in the '89 universe. Same with the Beyond Joker... i think ya may have just misread this one Sal haha

This is the best MCU movie. Spider-man NWH is just average. If you remove the nostalgia that movie has plot holes all over the place and doesn’t make a lot of sense. It depends on characters doing stupid things.

I was really disappointed by Adam Warlock, after all he was actually the Founder of the Guardians together with Peter Quill, and not this Clown!
@DjMbezzle Жыл бұрын
"the post credit scenes dont really set anything up". Am I the only person who disagrees here? Quil was overly specific about mentioning the neighbor and its details. He mentions the neighbors age and eve. suggests that it's weird that hes being asked to do it as hes perfectly capable. I 100% think that next next movie with Star Lord in it will start with him going over to that neighbors house and the audience finding out it's someone we all know (that quill wouldn't since hes always lived off planet). Someone who is either keeping tabs on Quil or simply doesn't want to he seen outside (vision?)

I believe we meant that it didn't serve to be a reveal or launching point for a new hero, villian, or major plot for the MCU. Sorry for the confusion!
