@@sewercotr3243 Sadly he's not. They cast Mahershala Ali as Blade. But, it would he a major missed opportunity if he didn't at least cameo. Or with the multiverse going on, show Wesley Snipes as a version of Blade in an alternate universe from that of the MCU.

Morbius might've disappeared from comics halfway through the 90's, but he was in the animated Spider-Man series, where his origin was changed a bit: He still was trying to cure his disease with the use of bats, but it was ultimately Spider-Man's radioactive blood combined with bat-blood that caused his transformation. He also didn't bite his victims, but had (sort of) suction caps on the palms of his hands he used to "suck plasma*" through their skin. *: My guess is the show named it 'plasma' instead of 'blood' to make it more kid-friendly.

Leto looks like a terrible version of Morbius. When I watch the 90's version I see Morbius, when I look at Leto I see terrible casting. I hate to say it but Leto was a better choice for Joker then he was for Morbius.

Imagine: "you get to be immortal but you're an undead who has to suck blood from the living and can only enter homes when invited while also dying if sunlight just slightly touches your skin. Also all religious objects work against you and you cant eat normal foud without getting severly sick to the point of puking your guts out." How long until you're depressed to the point of becoming a hermitcrab? No contact, you'll lose your mind in months, the only thing that can save you from your depression is the full blast of the sun which wil also kill you. One specific thing that cemented Morbius in my mind was in his most recent run by Vita Ayala. He had a short dialogue with himself about ancient Greek philosophers and their ideas of ethics as well as mankind's roll as a species. How Aristotle stated that Mankind's function was to be rational, that people were succeeding in their own humanity if they acted from reason. That how the greatest good, the greatest virtue, was something that was that was self-sustaining, something that people would want for it's own sake and not for something abstract like approval from others, or anything that is really done because you want something else. Morbius concluded that good health was that self-sustaining virtue or at least one of them. I really pondered on that and I couldn't help but agree. Good health is simply a question of balance and balance in anything is the highest possible virtue a person could ask for. I wouldn't have learned that if I didn't pick up this comic. From that point on I couldn't help but have an appreciation for the tragic man of reason and intellect that is Michael Morbius.

As a MCU watcher that doesn't (and has never) read comics. I really want Morbius, Blade, and whoever else there is that would make sense (Scarlet Witch maybe?), forming a "Marvel Dark" spinoff, where they face the eldritch monsters, since I don't think those enemies fit in the "daytime" MCU.

personally I feel like morbius embodies what's deep down inside all of us. The ability to perform such heinous acts while also being secretly a great person. For instance last week my boss brought up the fact that well......Someone was leaving their....droppings..... in a corner of work and quite frankly I was appalled this was unheard of. Now naturally being the mischievous little emo boy (I'm 36 btw) I got cracking and found out that it was kevin our assembler and quite frankly again.....I....Was....Shocked.....now I found myself with a moral quandary on my hands. Do I .....A.) Tell my manager and get kevin fired or B.) Keep it to myself and let them find out about it on their own. I thought long and hard and it brought me back to the days of being in junior high where something similar to this happened. There was a girl named melissia and well... She got her period in the middle of second period (L O L ) No pun intended... Anyways she asked to be excused and me being the emo gentleman saw why so naturally when she stood up I stood up with her and covered her back side with my green day hoodie. I escorted her from class to the bathroom and would you believe it! She was from that point on in love with me. Melissia and I ended up dating deep into highschool until... you guessed it... the jock chad brock asked her to prom and she said...YES... I was heart broken...I gave her so much I defended her honor on so many occasions and for her to betray my trust.....I was devastated I ran home and listened to 30 seconds to mars (The kill and from yesterday) on repeat all night while I cut myself. She ended up getting pregnant and then I started talking to her sister Susan. Susan was a preppy girl who was actually her step sister but that was alright I didn't mind that they weren't related by blood (Get it blood? Morbius? Vampires?!) I was now deeply infatuated with Susan and to my surprise she liked me back. She was 19 at the time and I was still only 16 (P.I.M.P.) She was my number one on myspace for a long time...

You have taught me pretty much *ALL* of what I know about comics. Before finding you, my knowledge was strictly from series 1 & 2 Marvel collectible cards from early 90s; reruns of the Hulk tv show on scifi channel; the animated X-Men, Batman, and Spider-Man series from 90s; and then just any movie with comic characters, from Christopher Reeves as Superman and Michael Keaton as Batman all the way up through current day Marvel Studios' MCU and such. In all that time, I have only actually read two comics/graphic novels: Death of Superman and Old Man Logan. For literally everything else, you have been the reader, the watcher, the story-teller. Some of the coolest Vampire "drawings" or Comic art, imo, are the Morbius interpretations. I LOVED how he was written in Maximum Carnage! Hoping the movie is at least Good

I recently crafted a tentative theory about Morbius Rob that I would LOVE to know if you think is actually possible. Since the Eternals post credit scene revealed Dane Whitman getting the Ebony Blade, along with BLADE himself with the voice over, I've been wondering if Morbius could be setting up Vampires within the MCU for the eventual introduction of Blade. The way I think it could work, is that when Morbius kills these people on that shipping freighter, one or more of them may be transformed into Vampires which will of course be the perfect way of getting Blade inside the MCU.

One of my favorite short stories was in the 90s where morbius had deteriorated quite a bit and had his edgy belts and rags appearance. He bites Spider-Man in the initial issue. Spider-Man deals with that for a bit and then after an artist change it picks back up. Edit: found it. Peter Parker Spider-Man 77 and 78

So excited for this! Scarlet Witch is my favorite but I love cosplaying a vampiric version of her and I LOVE Morbius. He and Marvel's Dracula are just beyond awesome and super powerful. Probably two of the coolest and most powerful vamps in comic fiction. 🥰🧛‍♂️🥰
