Dear Tom. A video you spend a year preparing. Carefully researched and worded. A review of an issue you want to promote which is in your collection (And Russ's and Gem's etc). The review is thought through and presented to perfection. It is a work of art. Like Mozart. It is fluid, logical, interesting and brilliant - and very incisive. It took work and effort and time. It was done on the side, but it's quality shows in the end. 1 per year. An idea.

I liked Echo... It wasn't stunning, but I think it moves the MCU along with one of the best villains, Kingpin! Plus, hearing the rumors online that Echo may join the X-men, I think that would be an awesome fit for the character. Overall Echo was a B to B+ grade!

My BIG MISTAKE - I have Department of Truth #1 and had it signed Tyion, but choose to NOT have it graded on the floor. - It’s a decision, I regret every time I look at my collection. Many great keys from Tyion, that I should have gotten graded after the signature. 😢😢😢😢

Some of those Mandalorian 1 and 2 covers are great (but some really dodgy covers in there too...). I think Star Wars keys should be a good bet for the long term, and a lot of people really sleep on them. When you look at how cheap something like Star Wars 2 (1977) is, with first Han Solo, first Obi Wan etc, it's crazy. There isn't as much hype around those characters as MCU characters, but they are known across the world by multiple generations. Collecting Star Wars keys still lags waaaay behind Marvel (because they were mostly movies first, comic adaptations later), but that could change.

I think the massive lapse of the story has hurt Department of Truth. I don't think they had a new issue in 2023 and I don't know when it is slated to come back. Tynion has put out some excellent stuff, but it's to keep the interest and hype up on books that come out so irregularly.

I’m surprised Predator vs Wolverine 4 1:25 isn’t on the list. Echo was lacking for me and all levels. I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but the MCU has fell off since John Favreau left marvel. Favre was definitely the visionary behind marvel first three phases. The proof is in the pudding John Favreau goes to Star Wars. , Star Wars blows up, Kevin Feige left leads the way, makes horrible decisions! I suggest you check out the new True detectives, that ish was banging!

A great time to buy some of these books. DD 9 is a modern key, maybe not the biggest, but a really nice one. Great cover, and creative team, in a main Marvel title, and a character that should stick around for the long term in various media.

For Grogu, Mandalorian was his first appearance in story. First cover appearance of a lot of characters happened on a lot of random variant covers for different Star Wars books, like Darth Vader 20 having Mando and Grogu's first comic cover appearance

Great video!! I watched all episodes of the Echo show and loved it. Can’t wait for a second season. The Wolverine/Ghost Rider mash up awesome and I have that comic. Echo is a disappointment on so many levels, specially if you were expecting something gritty urban unapologetic like Netflix DD JJ & Punisher. I'm not sure why they even had the "viewer discretion" advisory on the last episode, since a more underwhelming anti-climactic & upbeat "Disney-fied" ending would be difficult to execute. It didn't help that Cox acting was wooden, the action was lackluster, fighting scenes were tepid ( Cox clearly gained a lot of weight which impacted her credibility as an acrobatic street fighter ), plotting & pacing were shoddy uneven & many powerful scenes just fell flat.
