These interviews are priceless, Chris. Would love to see Jason Aaron or Donny Cates on the show

Great interview! Zub's work on Conan and his various Avengers series is top notch! He really knows how to use continuity in an interesting way.

You are on a Canadian streak recently. Mcfarlane, Cooke (review) and now Zub. I'm sensing a pattern. Would love to see you interview Byrne as the next Canadian guest. That would be epic.

Being Canadian, it’s weird to hear how other people say Toronto. I’ve always pronounced it “Ter•aw•no” Excellent interview once again!

A guy from Toronto told me his pronunciation was once mistaken for "China".

Great interview. I really am enjoying Jim's Conan run. Into the Crucible was excellent ... gritty, bloody and weird. Perfect Conan stuff!

14:22 Easy to overlook what it takes to actually get an indy series published if you're having to depend on other creatives to help complete the project. So many things to have to go right even if you have some time and money to front.

Jim, my kids and I love your and your wife’s Dungeons and Dragons Young Adventurer Series! So glad to hear that they will continue to come out. We would love to see a volume dedicated to Weapons and Equipment. What other topics do you plan on writing about for that series?

Great interview! I've always appreciated Jim Zub's candor about the market and publishing, he's made some great posts on reddit over the years, but I've regretfully never read any of his work. Wayward looks interesting and I've been jonesing for some Conan esque stories so I might check that out too. Good stuff!

I love his take on Conan The Barbarian. I wish he kept going on the series. It's a shame the series ended on issue 25.

PS his Serpent War story was excellent, really was loving all that mythology he was playing with, been really loving him on Conan (will be getting the card game), was really enjoying his Champions and of course adored his Avengers specials, No Surrender helped get me get into weekly books, love Jim Zub’s work and always dig an interview with him

Cool thumbnail, with the Dungeon Master from the cartoon. Looks like it wasn't a big deal in the USA, but it's a huge hit in Brazil, started around 1986 and was endlessly reprised for something like 10 years, barely leaving the grade. No exaggeration here: it was the cartoon of a whole generation. Renault used them in a car ad, you can find searching for "Caverna do Dragão" . Well, a lot of people went nuts thinking it was a movie about the cartoon. Most don't know the RPG. Since there is no final episode, there are just so many "theories" about the "truth": Uni was a Venger's plant, the kids died in the ride and were in hell.... you choose. I have 3 DVDs with all the episodes, watched the first ones with my daughter, she loved. The tradition goes on.

Comic Tropes... Classic Pulp literature character... D&D.... All my current favorite things have combined to form this!! This can only mean one thing... 100% full Nerdage Capacity has been reached!! Now hitting critical mass!!! Awww yeaaa

Conan is overpowered. Conan knows like 10 languages, rises to leadership position in multiple diverse cultures, women fall in love with him even if they hate him, he understands both tactics and strategy, if he was a D&D character he would have all 18s. On top of all that, he is blessed with unerring luck. Conan's friends call him Mary Sue.
