its crazy how lots of insecurities are purely cultural, as a latina with a big butt I have never ever being insecure about it, it has always being trendy around here, other parts of my body that´s a different story, but what I´m trying to say it´s that you talking about that it´s just a huge cultural shock for me. My mom got an arm lift surgery. After I was born (I just turned 18 and my mom just turned 50) she got a gastric bypass and went from 300lbs to 150lbs. So obviously she ended up with loose skin. She had wanted to have this surgery for YEARS and since she did she has been soooo happy. And she doesn’t have to shave her arm pits anymore which she also says “just another plus!” Plastic surgery can truly be life changing

I did Coolsculpting about 6/7yrs ago. After finally getting to a healthy weight after almost 20yrs of yo-yoing, I spent the following years flogging myself at the gym .. 2 classes back-to-back, hiking, swimming, lunging, squatting and burpies until I literally dropped, but I NEVER lost those pockets of fat. Coolsculpting was, for me, amazing. I have never looked back and I have never ever regretted it. Yes I still have cellulite .. is my body 'perfect' .. NO!!! (I can hear James Welsh in my ear .. 'no such thing as perfection'!!) .. but it made a huge difference for me and my body confidence. I am a happy 52yr old who no longer has problems swimming in public without wearing a very large tee-shirt .. which by-the-way nearly dragged me to the bottom of the ocean 🤣 As you say, do whatever you feel is right for you, not what you think other people think you should do .. but before you do ANYTHING .. research, read, talk to specialists AND if the cost is too good to be true .. RUN .. then have an honest conversation with yourself .. after that .. go do you!!!

Absolutely love this video. You are literally me about 25 years ago. It only took one person to tell me I had a big nose and it threw my confidence out the window. I worked for a plastic surgeon years ago and asked him if he could do a rhinoplasty on me. He unequivically said absolutely NOT. He told me I had a great nose and I've loved it ever since. The only thing I've done throughout the years is chemical peels every 5-10 years. I've always had TCA peels. I'm in my fifties now and I still don't need botox or filler. We actually even have the same shaped face.

Having procedures done because you want them done is one thing, doing it to please others is problematic. I will most likely get a breast lift in a few years. I work out and take care of myself but if in a decade or more I see an issue then I will do what I can to resolve it. Separately the music is a bit loud and distracts.

At 52 years old, I started my journey into medical esthetics in 2022. I was looking in the mirror and not recognizing who I saw and it was making me very insecure. Although my skincare regimen had vastly improved my skin since discovering K beauty in 2019, the signs of aging caused by sun damage had really suddenly taken a toll....and I simply did not like it. I have received Botox in my face and some small threads and I did opt for lip filler because, well, I wanted it! And I am going to say that I LOVE ALL OF IT. I look refreshed and glowy and how I want to look! I do not foresee myself going for anything much more invasive than some skin tightening for my neck and jawline, but I will continue with the Botox and some fillers because it has made me VERY happy. The biggest thing I've learned? SUNSCREEN. I am an absolute nag about sunscreen! I have been very open about my procedures on my socials and in my life and absolutely advocate for people doing what makes them happy in their own skin.

I wasn't trying to tackle them at the time, I was trying a new (to me) technique of exfoliation on my legs as they're usually quite dry. I do recommend giving it a go to anyone that wants to try it, its inexpensive and if the marks don't fade you will have lovely exfoliated skin at least :)

I felt that removing the fat cells from that area would make me look more proportional and improve my long-term health since having a lot of fat in your midsection around your organs is linked to many chronic diseases. I was sooo happy with the results of lipo and 10 years later am still so thankful for it and for my flat stomach!

I am 34. I went through a phase, probably about a year ago, when I had the idea in my head that I, for some reason, needed lip injections. I have pretty full lips already.🤦‍♀️ About 4 years ago, I thought I needed laser too, for the red veins/broken capillaries on my face from child birth. I actually booked a consultation, but never got it done because the lady that did the consultation scared me off by pointing out everything else that was 'wrong' with my face, and the serums and creams she was trying to sell me were full of essential oils (which I am confirmed allergic to). She didn't seem to hear me though. I smiled and nodded, then didn't book a single appointment. Those broken capillaries are actually gone now, because I have been using tretinoin and azelaic acid for about a year. I know myself pretty well, and to be honest I know having any kind of procedure done wouldn't have made me feel better, I would have spiralled for sure.

(People used to call me bulimic or anorexic) But when my body started growing I've had cellulite and stretch marks ever since. So don't let anyone tell you it's because of your weight. It's really interesting to hear that we had/have the same insecurities/percieved "problem areas", because we look so much alike. Just goes to show that we're converging towards a societal standard. I'm very interested in the art and science of aesthetic procedures. Even though I don't NEED them, I often play with the idea of what certain surgeries/fillers/etc would to the structure of face for the fun of it. HOWEVER, if watching hours and hours of plastic surgery youtube has thought me anything, it's DON'T DO IT. I'm sort of content, although I have my moments with my lower face. Gummy smile, brutal muscles, etc. I've been getting 2-2 units of botox in my chin to smooth the wrinkles, and it's insane how much difference it makes. It's kinda like when you crumple up a plastic bottle and then blow it up. From the side, my chin is almost completely flat originally, because of how strong the muscles are, it looks a bit jarring in contrast with my strong bone structure. But when the botox starts kicking in, the muscles let go, and I suddenly have a chin wohoo! No fillers needed, because it essentially functions as filler for me. Also been getting a few units in my elevens, because my god, do I frown all day every day. The tension headaches are so intense, it's an absolute godsend being pain free for 2-3 months. For my gummy smile I've gotten a few units under my nose a few times. It does SOMETHING, but beware, your smile might look a little off. To me, it makes the corner of my mouth lift ever so slightly (I have a straight/slightly downward smile), it can look a little Jokery. For this reason, I tried something different the other day. Instead of getting it under my nose, I opted for a lip flip. Of curse the muscles will elevate, but I wanted to see which one is the better option. Should be kicking in any minute now, fingers crossed I won't end up looking like a clown haha

For me, I had a single corrective round of Botox. It was to fix the damage young me did taping my eyes trying to make them not Asian. The surgeon that did it offered her service for free because I was in my twenties and having issues with wrinkling because of what I did. She also recommended therapy, which I was already doing. I never got the full set because it felt weird, and she never pressured me to. She did tell me skincare and SPF would keep them from coming back as bad as they were, but not permanently fix them. She also referred me to a dermatologist to help with skincare(and a prescription for Adapalene which I am thrilled is now OTC) to figure out why my skin was so sensitive to things. I was lucky. At some point it will be medically necessary to get blepharoplasty to correct my hooded eyes, as eventually they'll interfere with my vision. It's one of the things my parents regret not having done on us as kids(my siblings have this issue too, and my Mother had it done in Korea before she moved here). My ribs, sternum, and nose were broken in a wreck and not set at all while I was in the hospital, and while necessary, I've avoided them because of the horror stories I've heard about botched "fixes", especially rhinoplasty. Most of the surgeries I would get/need to get are because they are necessary, not for vanity. I am considering botox in my feet and armpits due to excessive sweating...have done so for at least a decade.

I've been super insecure as a teen and twen about my body, mostly my face. My nose is on the larger side, some days I wouldn't go to school coz I hated myself too much that day. There was a time when I even didn't wanna live "like that" anymore. I can't even imagine what teens are going through these days with social media around, but I'm aware of how bad someone can feel about themselves, even though from an objective point of view they look average. I'm a mom now and this totally changed my mind on my body. What my body was able to do and survive and get through, is just amazing to me. My body doesn't deserve anything but love for that. As a mom, one of the most important things I wanna teach my kids is self love. That's why I'm not getting anything done, I'm perfect the way I am. There's no need to please anyone but myself and I'm great.

In this day and age its unique not to get anything done and I am proud of myself for that. I noticed that people tend to compliment more the ones who have had work done cause they know they can imitate that via all kinds of procedures but they cant imitate the ones who naturally have it going on. Honestly though what they are really complimenting are the facades which is actually an indirect back handed compliment. I also know it is easier to say when you're naturally attractive. Also wanted to mention your butt is very proportionate to your body its not big or small its normal sized so dont worry about that. The thing is its not solely about having a big butt its about the shape etc too. There are alot of people with big butts but ive seen people with smaller but nicer shaped butts.

Hope someone reads this. My long time esthetician (at one of the most expensive NYC salons) told me in confidence to not get a skin laser treatment done even once for as long as possible bc skin loses its youthful, peachy feel. She has seen it on many patients and, of course, her salon also offers it. (And other random estheticians at the same salon offered it to me as well.) Now that you have been forewarned, it’s up to you. Cheers.

I have considered procedures like lip fillers for my small lips and cryotherapy (cool sculpting?) for stomach fat, but I'm glad I was able to talk myself out if it. Took me till 29 to be ok with my body, and I'm still learning. I would love if you could teach us about the rest of the body, the way you talk about skin. Thanks for sharing your professional and personal experience with us! I never cared about other people’s opinion, but when it’s from your own family, since you’re a kid, it get into your head. My older sister always pointed out how I was hairy, as I was getting into puberty. So, unconsciously I started to hate my body hair and I got it removed by IPL as soon as I started to make my own money. Just a few years ago I realized it was just because of her I did this.

Hi, friend. I’m wondering if you’d ever do a video for us chemo chicks? I’m 33 and was diagnosed w stage 2 breast cancer 12/21/22. I start chemo this Friday and it’s scary. Everyone talks about the nausea and fatigue and hair loss, but I’d love more info on chemo skin and/or nail care. All my doctor said was “use moisturizer” …. 🤨🤦‍♀️

Bless you. I do a lot of hospital visiting. Make sure you avoid SLS cleansing products as you intimate skin will be sensitive during chemo. Sometimes the scented stuff helps you feel less sick and more feminine But can be a bit sensitising. Ginger tea is great for sickness. Barrier style moisturisers are great for chemo. If you end up doing radio, I don’t know your pathology - there are some great calendula creams that help x

I highly recommend Morpheus8 for uneven skin texture or scars - I’m both a BCBA and massage therapist/facelift massage therapist- and I got a horrible staph infection from work with massive, deep blisters that left my skin fucked up. In some ways the affected areas on my face (it traveled up my wrists and got all the way to my face) were worse than acne scars and deeper in the dermis. After 2 Morpheus8 treatments, my skin looks about 80% better. Add an excellent growth factor serum plus something like the VI Peel or the Perfect Peel- the perfect person is my fav and I do it in home- and you’ll max your results. Highly recommend!!

I just turned 45, and I have, in the past year, that the corners of my mouth have dramatically turned down. I had 1/2 of a syringe of filler placed in each of my cheeks to replace some lost volume about a year ago, but I know that filler is not the answer. I really want a facial rejuvenation but don't have that kind of $. I have been thinking of other treatments that are not so invasive. I just don't know where to start. My med spa that I go to doesn't do facials and other treatments. They basically only do botox and fillers. I was getting 40 units in my forehead for my 11's and a brow lift effect. Now my botox is done by my neurologist for my migraines, so he injects my head, neck, and shoulders and does my forehead in the v pattern.

I totally understand the curly hair thing. My hair is the same and its always been soo much work to blowdry and straighten, curly hair method on the other side was nice but when I look like pricess Lilifee it just doesnt suit me and how I feel. I did a keratin treatment by myself, I needed 7 hours to do it and it was sooo much work... But worth it. Didnt want to use the cheap ones from amazon until I found someone on KZbin who did his own without formadehyde. The hair was pinstraight without volume for 2 weeks and now its perfect and lasts. First time for me to blowdry my hair and its not a mess - its straight and shiny!! Will do this forever 😁🙌 highly recommend!

That was a great video of the overview of the things that can be done and the things you have done. I would never do a thread lift because of the things I have read and videos I have seen. I once saw a video a while ago about a woman who did a thread lift, and everything was fine for a few months; then, one day, she smiled, and the thread inside her cheeks snapped and slashed inside her cheeks. I think you have a beautiful body and skin to match. Ps Literally, can't believe they exists a place that would actually tell someone to get a nose job just to work there. That is crossing boundaries on a scale to high to even place into numbers.

I appreciate the honesty and transparency with your videos always. While yes it’s no one’s business what procedures a person gets done, when ppl claim they are “natural” but there has been a distinct difference in face/ body, that’s when I think it becomes harmful. I’m always for plastic surgery/ procedures/ etc “do what ya want” just don’t lie about it. I’ll never lie about mine 😂, love my botox

I think the Theapy thing would actually really help a lot of people, And it would actually be a great idea becuse it's kinda like physical check up for the mental instead. There are some cases where the Nose job can be life saving physically because for example, while it may be *extreamly* dangerous for someone to do it for aetheic reasons, and making sure the person is mentally okay with the risks would help keep botched jobs from happening. An example of the life saving situation: Emilie from Snake Discovery actually had to do a surgery (she did hers in an actual hospital) because due to an injury in the martial arts, her nose didn't heal correctly and she didn't have the sense of smell. And what happened her nose developed a double nasel where it pushed the origonal to the side. (she had to go in twice because the first one wasn't invasive but it didn't do what she needed, and then they had to do the invasive one. She does actually have a video on it she recently posted if you were curious and wanted to see for yourself.) Apparently it did change her nose but hard to tell due to the fact that she was slowly healing (as it makes sense). Meanwhile the Try Guys Plastic Sugerent Episode a while back was trying to tell Zach he needed to fix *everything* about his face without actually asking if he was physically able to do it or even mentally wanting to do it. Zach luckily didn't let it get to him as he knew his body, and wanted to be careful with it, but boy did that part made me extreamly angry. Because they weren't exactly pleasent about it either in that video. (Passive aggressive wording and whatnot) Either way the point is It would be great if we could get the therapy requirement (and make it accessiable for everyone in that case) to make sure the patient is safe.

The only procedure I want to have done and have always wanted to have done is have a small tummy tuck. Even when I weighed 108 lb I always had this weird little pooch and obviously since I've had a kid it's gotten worse and it's always made me feel very self-conscious. And to be honest no one has ever made any negative comments about it. But it bothers me and I think being 40 now and knowing a lot about my body and who I am. I am comfortable moving forward with the procedure at some point when I am financially able to. (I also receive regular therapy since I was 22 so mentally I feel that my body is a wonderful thing, I just want to make this clear so people understand that if they are to get a procedure they should definitely go to therapy to make sure that the procedure they want isn't going to be a quick fix for their mental health)

I love watching your videos, and maybe it's just me, but it seems a little hypocritical of you to say that it is no one's business as to what procedures/etc that you have and have not had done, yet in many videos are calling celebrities out for not speaking up about the work that they have had done vs the efficacy of the products they use. WE as your following should be informed as to what products are giving results vs. procedures and surgeries. I get Botox for my regular tension headaches and migraines. It helps the headaches 💯 for sure. As for the face? Temporarily the scar is a little tighter and the jaw is less movable. Besides that? Pretty much the same face. Because most of the medicine goes into my neck. Because the use of it in that setting is pretty different than cosmetic alone. At least with my physician. As for the rest? I really wanted a scar excision (in my 20’s) (for the big one between my eyes) And bless they Derm. 💕 He told me how it was not only not essential to make me “cuter”. But it could do more damage than good. He referred me to the esthetician’s who trained me on bha/aha peel. And I found your videos and the rest was history. I would consider the pig fat w/ the cosmetic Botox. But that is kinda the only thing I would change. I figure if I thought about it for decade or more. Then that 1/10 thing may be worth it. My immune system and health and being prone to infection … Taking care of all that and loving my internal health is more valuable than an exterior change. Or any surgery cosmetic wise. But I also do not need to think about it for my occupation either. Age can be a beautiful thing. Over time it shows us the things that ultimately matter to us. If it is broke and you want to fix it? By all means do it for yourself. If society says it is broke or you want to look like someone besides your own beautiful self? Take that door, swing it closed and don’t risk it. I agree with you ❤️
