Didn't like the underdeveloped nature of Mongolia as a spoiled teenager. But after studying abroad for years, I feel extremely homesick. The seemingly unlimited mountains, the sheeps and goats calmly strolling along grasses, young children riding horses while bragging about their recent victories, and the beautiful women in the capital, everything makes me feel sad, but proud.

I am Native-American but I know nothing about the Mongolian culture. But I read something about the Native-Americans being originally Mongolian before leaving there as the Clovis people stopping in Siberia, mixing with the eurasians before crossing the Bering strait into North America (Alaska) then throughout North, central and South America.

I can imagine what this Mongolian woman from Germany, who came to her ethnic Homeland, is experiencing. The shock of the standard of living of the people, mired in medieval life and the beginning of the timid development of the country as a whole. FANTASTIC STORY!!! The beauty of this documentary is Saruul's very personal perspective. I, too, was born in two different cultures, and that gave me a perspective on Life and advantage that most people do not have. Because I could then clearly see at an early age, the advantages and shortcomings of all cultures. So we must TRANSCEND CULTURE and embrace the deepest Spirit of HUMANITY.

Hello, What do people from Mongolia think of the Mongols living outside Mongolia. For example, there are 6 million Mongols living in Afghanistan, they are called the Hazaras. Hazara means thousands in Persian and it refered to the military so the world Hazara would meant being part of the military. Now these Hazaras are very simple minded people therefore they fall prey to the cunning Afghans therefore they are badly used and abused, from slavery to mass murder and even used under the name of religion. Any how they are good fighters though but only and only if they have a good leader otherwise they are easily manipulated and used. Please google Hazaras. I am one of them, I knew for sure that I am Mongol as I look Mongol but to prove I did a DNA test which as I expected traced me as a Mongol. There are many Hazaras like me from Afghanistan who knows they are Mongol, and since for the first time in 300 years in Afghanistan only since 2001 Hazaras are allowed to attend school therefore we now have many educated people and like myself dream of one day connecting with the mother land.

@hellbilge27459 жыл бұрын
+Altai Khan Damn, sorry bro. I have heard that Hazaras get treated like shit. I am a Mongolian. Speaking of our people, there`s a whole bunch in China who are called Inner Mongolians, and some say that the Natives in the Americas are actually of Mongolian descent, specifically soldiers who got lost on their way to conquer Japan with Khubilai when the infamous Tsunami happened. I could be wrong though because I`m not good at history and remembering stuff.
